"I remember this story!"

date: June 26, 2008

Ah yes. The she bears. Keep up the good work. However, the audio quality in this one was a bit lacking, which made it hard to hear what was said. Once again, thanks for drawing the more extreme stories from the bible into view.

"Good work - And very educational!"

date: September 10, 2007

I'm afraid I don't agree with you, Verdant-Truth. Hebrew is clear about "little children" involved; that of "wicked young & vagrant men up to thirty" and stuff like that are only desperate attempts of fundies trying to racionalize this barbarical story by twisting the true sense of the words and their context. I hope you are not being cheated by those unreliable "expert" preachers.

I think the cartoon is O.K.

"Nice work~"

date: June 16, 2006

Awesome sound and animation. If anyone is interested, this story is found in II Kings, chapter 2, verse 23-24. I know it's a bit strange. Anyhow, they weren't smiling little children. The actual Hebrew translates more to "Young men".

"The narration sucked"

date: August 23, 2005

I agree with MoralityWatch, the narration was very shallow. What i dont agree with him though is that IF God does exist and so does this story than that means all the other ones are true, such as God forgives and always loves and nice happy things like that. Later in the same book as this it teaches that no one should curse in the name of God, that was the point of the Bears munching on the boys.

"Our "loving" God at work"

date: May 7, 2005

GaryJBlackwell, below, writes "You call attention to the cruelty of the punishment, but you do not make any assertion that the story is not true. How was it that the bears came out at just the time and killed 42 kids? Would it not have been divine justice and intervention?"

I think the point is that IF the story IS true, then God must consider it just and appropriate for young children to be slaughtered by bears for the sin of mocking their eldres. If such a God actually exists, he is an cruel and evil entity not worthy to be worshiped by moral human beings.

My only critique of the video is that the narrative should be louder in relation to the accompanying music.

"What a wonderful cartoon, Mr. Finley."

date: March 18, 2005

This is a warning to those who anger God or mock his favoritest people. If you're not careful, God will kill you, and send your rotten soul to hell with your father, the Devil. Happy burning assholes!

Peace!

"Accurate Enough"

date: February 5, 2005

As I watched the small video of the scripture I was dismayed, but I admit I was also amused. But is the Bible true? Is it the word of God? and if it is, what does it mean in the lives of every man? You will die as all men die as did these little children died. You will die and justly because you've made mistakes, done misdeeds, you have lied, stolen from others, you have wanted other people's property and no doubt, made fun of men who live by a code of honor and valour. Men who are honest, who do not steal, who know that trinkets, stones and wood articles have no power. Men who love and care and choose to do what is right for they know what is right. Shall the power that exists not do what is right? not do justice? Shall rapists, murderers go free? Shall liars and mockers go free? Should they not suffer even die for doing wrong? You call attention to the cruelty of the punishment, but you do not make any assertion that the story is not true. How was it that the bears came out at just the time and killed 42 kids? Would it not have been divine justice and intervention? Should you not look to your own life and decisions? Do you not have a conscience in your head that tells you right from wrong? If these should die for so small an offence. What does that tell you about the punishment for you own offences? Why are you not dead yet? Is it not mercy that you are not immediately dead from your first wrong?

"Good one"

date: November 12, 2004

I thought this was a great flash but the point im writing to this is to observe some details about islam for our friend death incarnate. Quoting him " ... you will be suprised when you find out your "SUPPOSED" god who supports the death of all Americans isnt real..." Hate to break it to you but christians and muslims as well as jews all worship the same god, the only difference being the name Allah in fact, Islam has deep Jewish roots. People like you sicken me.

"Freakin' Hillarious!"

date: November 5, 2004

Although the bible passage went by a bit too quick to read all of it. Plus I wouldn't have known what the kids were saying without the text.
