This is very good, but there are problems when i come to use the helicopter game bit. i did all the stuff but when i put the actionscript on the pod bit it wouldnt work, there were around 3 errors and i didnt know how to correct them. maybe the text could be copyable aswell to avoid errors, and maybe add more detail on the helicopter bit.
maybe its my fault though, so i would say this is really good.

"Very informative addition to Newgrounds"

I think this was a very nice addition to Newgrounds having some very unique tutorials. I am currently working on a Helicopter game, and yours is the only tutorial I have found to help me out. However, I have found this tutorial to be very vague and difficult to understand, though it had nothing but good intentions.

The things I am having trouble with are not included in your tutorial...
1. Making the roof and floor move up and down at random intervals
(Though I think I know how to do this using movie clips and variables, I am confused by the root. command.)
2. Making the helicopter tip back a tiny bit when you click the mouse
3. Making the blocks come toward you at random heights

All in all i thought this was a great way to get out information that is not widely known. I just want to know everything... so my oppinion is biased. If you could help me out, send me an email or something.

"Lots of information"

This tutorial was very helpful to me. I knew next to nothing about Action Script until I read this one. The layout was nice, and the M and R buttons were a big help. The only gripe I had was that you used really weird spelling abbreviations (ie substitiuted "one" for "1"; it's just two more freakin keystrokes). Other than that, I think you did a good job.
