this is exactly what a tutorial should be. it was clear, concise, and helped me despite my having mx 2004. i am quite impressed and grateful. you might consider expanding it, perhaps including such things as hitTests for walls.

I agree with the guy before me,this didnt help me since i use flash mx,but i guess it did teach lots of other people and it had good music too.
Bad quality though.

I was looking for game tutorial all the time. yet I thought I've found it. however it is not for flash MX. I hope you can make a tutorial on flash mx, that will be even greater. Anyway it is very helpful for these people who is using flash 5

The script you wrote in that makes the MC flip upside down when u press left, can you send my a script that fixes that so i don't have to do it :P

how would you make it so that the object changes it's orientation when you press the left or right button? such as they would rotate to the left or the right, not immeaditly turn to that direction? if you can respond in email, but just responding to this helps too :D thanks
