I posted my review on the game instead of this movie site on accident! STUPID ME! Ergo, I'm righting my wrong and posting it here, in its rightful place. --

Its nice to see a more serious take on a ... admittably ... stupid plot. Mutated ninja fighting turtles eating pizza. It screaaams 80s.

However, the "adult" turtle rendition is a lot more interesting! I didn't see a slice of pizza in sight, the direction was good, the voice cast equally fitting (down to Mikey's California surfer accent, though I thought it would have been more interesting if it was toned down now that he is an adult -- that surfer thing still screams 80s), and most noticeably the actual use of the peircing weaponry, with blood included, along with a nice cuss word every now and then.

Although confusing throughout, with an vaguness to how some things pertain to the story (like Raph having his sais, and Don thinking he didn't), it's still an excellent first episode worthy of high vote. I only wish the animation was better, and maybe the microphones improved.

MNT EP1 was good, and it shows a lot of promise for the future. It does have some bugs that gotta be worked out though. For one, Donatello did sound gay. Two, watch some xao xao 3 to try to pick up some techniques for blending that action. It was just choppy and did flow as well as it could. Michelangelo's back flips at the very begining of the fight looked realy broken. Another thing that was no good was in the combat, the flashes whenever someone hit another person was a realy shitty effect. In a way it reminded me of Max Payne when you shoot someone with the sniper rifle. It does so much leading up to the hit but you never actualy saw it because it cut away at the instant the bullet touched the guy. That annoyed me there and here. I know when I punch my roommate in the face, nothing flashes. When he punches me back, it does. You could use something like that. Let the viewer take hits with the turtles, not with the enimies. Then with the plot, the tention between the turtles I have always felt as the week part in (I think) TMNT 2, and therefore it is also sucks in your movie.

I ask how is this number one because it is still filled with flaws, and it sports nothing that makes it superior then the alot of the otherthings on this site. It's plot is nothing amazing or creative, the animation is not that great, and the charactors arn't even original. It's good, but it's way over rated.

"Turtles as you've never seen"

Excellent work! Animation was very well done and the voice acting fit the part of the different characters. It was very nice to see the turtles fighting seriously and actually killing their opponents. This is very mature approach to the turtles saga, although leaving out the humor aspect that made the series fun. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this!

That was f$(!ing awesome, the animation and sound was great on that, a lot better than like 95% of the movies on this page. Being a great TMNT fan myself, I thought that movie kicked some serious ass, they actually used their weapons for more than blocking hits.

As for that dude who said DOn sounded wussy I think you should ignore that, Don's supposed to sound nerdy, he has in every TMNT ever....

In Bringing back one of the great cartoons of my childhood. Mikes Voice was great. Sounds perfect. Only Donatellos voice sounds to wussy. kinda gay. Try and change that. But Its a great movie. Im interested in where you can go with this. You could have a long running series. keep up the good work
