As you progress through the levels the falling spikes turn it less of a game of skill and more of a game of chance/survival. It prevents you from feeding, and in the cases where it's cleanly divided in the middle and the peashies, appear it cuts your response time in half. It's rather annoying that you can't knock spikes out while they're in the sky.

It glitched for me and my weltling wouldn't eat any more grubs of any kind after I got the megamuncher powerup.

But a power-up system and jump button would be good.

It was very enjoyable to play..It kind of felt like a mini game though
