This would make an excellent Tetris-style game. It needs a few modifications, such as some sound effects, better graphics, and more fluid animation, but the framework of the gameplay is pretty sound even if it is also a bit crude. The blocks should look more like rocks and the whole setting should appear as a giant hole in the ground rather than a computerized board game. Also, some diversity in the shape of the rocks would help, and they should squash you if you allow them to fall on you. Lastly, the ending would be more satisfying if the white guy threw the orange guy in the hole and started tossing rocks down at him. This way, "Buried Alive" would have two different game modes to increase replayability.
I encourage you to finish this game. It's already pretty fun the way it is.
