In the summer of 2000 Newgrounds set up a webcam in its office so the fans could have a peek at what goes on behind the scenes. Newgrounds then created a gallery for webcams of other NG fans and affiliates. We started receiving more requests from fans to be added into our gallery and we created a special e-mail address for people to send in their applications. Users can click on the "Apply" link in our webcam gallery to send us an application, and the subject line lists what information we need to consider them. Basically we ask for the URL to their webcam image, the URL to their website, their NG user name, and we ask that they have a public profile set up. Not to much to ask you would think, but some people don't get it.

All the webcam applications come to me. I look through the applications, and if I find an application to be filled out properly, and all the links work, I move it into an "approved" folder where it sits until I have an opening for it. However, many of the applications I get aren't filled out properly, and people like to just send me a picture from their webcam, video camera, or whatever other means they have of creating a digital image of themselves, without any links to an online image!

So here are some of the applications I have to reject. I will include the e-mail text with some of them, if the applicant sent me any text, some people just send me a picture with no text at all!

Again, this person has decided to only send me a picture, and not text telling me where I can find his webcam. Someone should tell this guy that birds peck all the seeds out of pine cones and poop all over them, before he sticks another one in his mouth!
