I have two main projects running at the moment. I'll address each of them here.
My band will be recording an EP or maybe a full length CD in January in a professional studio. We definitely want an extremely epic cover that would suit our music well. We play a mix of progressive rock, catchy pop punk, jazz and some blues.
What we are looking for is an artist to design the album cover, front and back, and probably even the CD itself and perhaps a sleeve booklet as we go along. I just want the art to have a clean feel to it so experience in graphic design would be a plus.
You can find some of our demos here. I can assure you that when we are playing full band we sound a lot fuller (vocals, some screaming and studio magic).
Here is a video of the drummer and I rocking out to one of our original songs (cut short since my laptop can only handle so much space at the moment.)
(Back on point, Redcliff was taken from the famous battle in which an outnumbered army won a crucial battle due to the understanding of astrology and by sending fire arrows across the water to set the enemy ships on fire. As such, a theme that has something to do with fire arrows may work, this is something I would hope to discuss with the interested artist. If you'd like to read up on the battle yourself you can always wiki "The Battle of Chi Bi".
If you are interested in working on something like this, send me a PM and we can discuss a bit more in terms of payment/accreditation etcetera. I'm quite fair and I expect that these CDs will be being printed and distributed DIY style throughout the Jersey/New York/Pennsylvania area.
If you haven't guessed, I'm a serious musician and composer with a passion for video games and animation. If there are any game developers or animators out there who would be interested in working with me on sound design/soundtrack/sound effects please let me know. I should be getting some free time coming up soon along with new gear and I am up for just about anything within reason. I have ideas for games, or I can help you bring your gaming vision to reality. Feel free to send me a PM here and hopefully we can talk via Skype.
