NG Chat

Welcome to the new Newgrounds.com chat system… sort of.

It's still a few "finishing touches" away from being launched, but we've teamed up with PsychoGoldfish Creative Media to bring you a brand spanking new Flash-based chat. Besides looking totally snazzy it will utilize your official NG login, so no more wondering if the person you're talking to is really Tom, Stamper, or Bill Gates.

Until it's ready, the best thing we can offer is the removal of the archaic IRC chat. It kind of took on a life of its own and wasn't really NG-centric anymore, but if you were one of the few dozen people that still used it, you know how to get back there. In the meantime, everyone else can check out the equally-unoffical Paltalk Chat.

Our chat system is Flash driven, so you'll need the latest version of the Flash plugin to participate. If you don't see anything above, update your plugin! The rest is simple: just use your NG username and password to log in and type away. Just please respect our rules listed below.

NG Chat: Guidelines/Rules & Help

HEY GUYS! Not to be a negative nancy, but I was sent to relay a few Rules & Guidelines…!

  • Please refrain from using excessive foul language or insulting other people in the chat.
  • No racial or hateful words and phrases will be tolerated!
  • Please don't spam, flood, or intentionally disrupt the chat rooms with nonsense.
  • NO A/S/L (age, sex, location) or other requests for personal user info.
  • Using ALL CAPS is considered yelling. Excessive use of CAPS is NOT ALLOWED, LOL.
  • You can link to stuff around NG, but limit it to once an hour. Do not link to places outside of NG!
  • Cybersex is not allowed in our chat rooms. Please enjoy that privately, and elsewhere, I know I do!
  • Do not request software, porn, or other questionable media from other users.

They said it's pretty simple! Just keep cool and don't be a jackass – oh, and to respect the authority of the operator when he/she asks you to stop being an idiot. Don't shoot the messenger!
