Is it odd?
Obviously no man unless very young or close (relationship wise) should hug a male cousin, but female?
Forget trying to sound interesting, ok.
Question is, if you have/had a female cousin, would you hug them? You hug your aunt, but not your sister. Would hugging a female cousin be strange once you got older? Would you give them a firm handshake, or do what I do and stand and wave?
Just want to see what you guys do.

I hug female cousins. Hell, I hug male cousins.
I hugged the greeter at Walmart the other day.

Whaaat? Not at all, really if its close to odd you really have to be acting really awkward at the time. I hug my sis and cousins whenever i see em, cos i dont see either of em much. not odd at all.

I give all of my cousins firm hugs no matter their age or sex.
The only one that I give a handshake to is the one I look up to the most, and I make sure to give eye contact.
when you talk, i dont care what it means, shouldn't just stare at you, should i?

im 17, my cousin is 18 and we hug, but ive only seen her once in my life. i think you should be able to decide weather its normal or not; do you argue with her? are you friendly? forget shes your cousin, but remember you dont want to have sex with her. imagine if she was just a female friend who youre not interesting in dating, would you hug her?

I hug some of my female cousins but not all of them. I don't see what the big deal is, as long you don't have dreams of boning that cousin.

Usually I hug them if I'm congratulating them or something. I usually just say hi though.

I have hugged my female cousins before, but then again, my family is rather touchy feely, one could say.
It's not weird unless you make it so in your mind. Or.....do more than hug.

What's wrong with hugging male cousins?
I hug people I know/don't detest regardless of their gender or family relation to me. Besides, it's not like you're hugging them in a sexual way.

I've got about 10 girl cousins (7 of them are 17+ years old) and I hug them whenever I see them. It's not really weird =P

I don't understand why everyone gets so worked up over hugs.
It's the same as a handshake, but uses both arms.
It's a way of showing gratitude, affection, or if you just want to say "Thanks, that was awesome", you hug them, and go "Fuck yes, that was epic."
I hug my mother, I hug my father, I hug my cousins(Male AND Female), I hug my Dog, I hug my Neighbor, I hug EVERYONE.

I've always hugged and kissed (on the cheeks) sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, parents, and grandparents (don't have brothers). Even people I'm not related too, what's so weird about showing affection to people? It's not like it's sexual affection, unless you can't tell the difference.
