there will be your greyhound racing against 5/6 other dogs. before the race there will be a little mini-game thing where you determine your dogs mind set before the race.

on race day there is 3 races to chose from varying in difficult and length.

your greyhounds stats and abit of random will determine how well they do.

there are 5 races per season. if yoru greyhound places 1-3 in 3/5 you can progress to the next season.

I can tell you from past experiences this guy is certainly not the best to work with. I certainly wouldnt do buisness with him again.

Watch out how you treat your coders, it can bite you in the ass.

If anyone's tempted to take his offer, I advice you to be very careful. Ask early on for confirmation directly from Armor Games that what he says is true, and make sure that his art isn't stolen (and that he even have any art at all).

The reason I'm saying this is because this guy is infamous on these forums for stealing art, and making countless of topics where he offers programmers loads of money (as far as I know the programmer never got the money in any of these cases). I'm almost certain that this time is no different, but as long as I don't know for sure I won't accuse him of anything, but rather advice everyone to be aware of what he might be up to.

So you're getting $4000 and we're only getting $2000. Any reason for the massive difference?

I think the only way this'll work is if you put down 50% of the money upfront, then 50% on completion. Especially because of all the people talking about you being a repeat liar and thief.

famous for stealing art? - 2/3 years ago i downlaoded the mobster.fla free file from cartoonsmart and used it in a game. People still aren't over it. ..

Iv'e never ripped anyone off. Programmers have claimed to be better than they are and have either just quit on me or iv'e told them they arent good enough. No one has ever not got money i have promised them. The only people i owe money to is Stu and Nick and they will both recieve it soon and i'm pretty sure they both trust me.

$2,000 is a great amount of money for programming the game. Because i am getting $4,000 shouldn't really be relevant but i would understand why people would see it as unfair. The person i am communicating with at AG set up a production plan/mile stone document with money at different intervals. For the programming he decided $2,000. The art/animation/sound etc will commute to 2/3's of the game.

cool $2000 :)

well for starters...

1.) alot of people are saying the same thing about you so your gonna have to explain yourself alot more than you used a free fla

2.) i have emailed Armor games with a link to this thread and asked them to confirm that this is indeed true , the response will be posted in here :)

3.) without programming you have a bunch of pictures and sound so dont go saying its not as important as the sound and animations, programming is what takes it from an animation to a game

4.) $6000 does seem a bit steep for that crappy looking thing you posted (if thats just a demo put an image up of the real thing seeing as you have completed all the art)

awww

Can you give us any examples of successful collaborations with programmers? Because, all the flashes on your account are solo projects.

Btw, I PM'ed jmtb02 who works at AG, hopefully he will post here and shed some light over this once he reads it.

I'm pretty sure that it's Addictive Games.

Also John doesn't handle that stuff.

I'd be interested if i wasn't busy.

Maybe i wouldn't be as busy if i didn't spend as much time on NG. :]

Well, i believe Gust coded most of his World's strongest Man game, but then he got fed up with gust and went on a hunt for a different programmer. Am I correct?

I didn't say programming was less important. For this project i think it's about 1/3 the work and $2,000 is a figure i certainly think is fair.

The crappy thing i posted was an example of how the game will work. It was a 5 minute sketch. My art and animation is of a high standard and if anyone is interested they will see.

Guys, keep in mind, according to him he's already confirmed the project and it's underway. He's coming here now to subcontract a scripter; $2000 is his offer, and a fair one I think. It's cool to negotiate, but don't go demanding half of the earnings on something he's set up.

Look through my games, I've have plenty of programming experience, and I'd be willing to work with you as long as I get paid.\

I've been scripting for about 2-3 years, and the things done in this game would be relatively simple to make.

PM me.

i was waiting for someone to accept this.... This game looks like a classic sim (place anything here) game with a somewhat new idea and the "pet" theme which i'm sure will grab plenty of people attention. If what he says is true then he's planned out everything drawn most or all of whats needed and has set up a price quote in advance. (which i find hard to believe unless he really does have all the art and ideas ready. So you'll know almost immediately)

this doesn't seem like the most script intense game so 2000 doesn't seem UN fair, my question is how the art/animation is 4k but then again i haven't seen his art, interface etc.

good luck... make money!

Guys stop trying to derail this thread,
If you don't think 2000$ is enough for your work than don't do it, don't bitch about it.

He is working with Addicting Games not Armor Games so don't bother Armor Games with this.

He is fine to work with if you can do what you say you can do.

I'm sure there has to be some programmer out there with enough time on his hands this month, Sadly I'm busy as hell till the due date.

Sounds great. In my opinion it does sound pretty legit and I do trust you with this. AG seem to have money coming out of their ass, I can tell you from first-hand experience that this whole set-up sounds exactly the kind of thing they would do.

Usually I would say splitting it 1/3 to the coder and 2/3 to the artist is only really fair on a game with stupidly large amounts of art however this game sounds as if the coding is not going to take any major effort plus you went through the hassle of setting the whole thing up so the pay seems like a great deal. Yes you may be getting $2k more but then the coder shouldn't bother if they're getting $2k for such a small job in the first place.

Just overall sounds like a great offer and can't believe nobody has snapped it up already, I definately would if I had the time but sixth form is really pushing me at the moment so I can't.

SOMEBODY GET IN ON THIS RATHER BRILLIANT DEAL!!!
