I agree that the newest submissions list won't get you many listens.
If you go through the whole list you might find about 2-3 songs that actually are decent, so you don't feel compelled to check the songs on there out...

I just wanted to mention that I don't even go through that list anymore because, like you said, you really have to sift through a pile of crap to get to 1, or if you're lucky 2, songs that are even worth listening to. Don't even get me started about songs that are worth leaving reviews about lol...

On a side note, I'm not really sure how "Rabanastre Acapella" got up into the top 30... I mean, yea it's funny, but come on... I could have made that in like an hour if I wanted. It's not even a good acapella... (no offense)

Maybe it's the whole Voice acting genre not being accessible or something, I dunno.

Actually, I've found differently, I generally find for every 10 songs I click on, I get 3 shitty ones, 4 listenable ones, and 3 good ones. Maybe I'm just lucky though.

Also, fun game, guess at how low anything that isn't trance or techno will get when it makes top 30, because you know it's score is taking a nosedive

No, I do not believe F-777 is actually forming a plot to take over the Audio portal or anything like that.

I merely suggest that it's highly unlikely for this amount of success in such a harsh, (obviously) competitive environment, and while I doubt he is in any way manipulating the Top 5, I would like to remind all of you that we should view and respectively treat the Best of The Week not as a popularity game of 5's and 0's, but rather as a tool to examine quality material in the audio portal.

In other words: If you can't understand why massive zero bombs plague the audio portal, this week should provide a pretty clear explanation.

For some reason i feel a big something was going on behind the scenes more than usual. I mean i was getting way more bombed than usual on only songs from this week. Everything else with higher ratings were not touched. It was pretty redonkulas regarding the zero voting going on tonight.

Ya, I noticed it as well. I thought my thing was gone as it was only a 4.23 at the time. Unfortunately, one of the best tracks I've heard in recent months, War-Spawn's Hate Hip Hop Hate didn't make it despite being at 4.6 Tuesday morning...

It's just a classic case of fanaticism really... much how the rabid ParagonX9 fans used to bomb everything to hell that wasn't his or related to him.

Something was weird the last 3 days cause bombs came in like CRAZY you could refresh the Dance list and you see each song going down with each refresh and kr1z and i noticed we were getting bursts of 20 votes and our scores were really low.

I don't believe its a bunch of diff people i think its one guy with some proxynized, multi-account, auto-0'ing bomber program thingy.

Thats why i was shocked to get top 5 my score went WAAAAYYY down but i still got it.

I was getting it too though.. and I agree entirely. I was on the other night scouting for music to play in my Radiogrounds set.. and I saw the front page of techno disappear. Followed by trance 3 minutes later.

And the review function has yet to be used to its entirety.

Seriously, if replacing the vote score with avg review score isn't a top priority for the next redesign I will be shocked.

Well anyways its about darn time i got atleast one Top5! I mean i have a very nice fanbase and i am improving with my music. I think i deserved this one! But even so i did get zerobombed last night but i got lucky with my out most powerfull fanbase and got top5 anyways! I love my fans :)
