I say "remixes" because we all know they're pretty much midi rips.

I think those remixes are up there due to the gaming public of the audio portal.
They just like the melody, and there fore like the songs, though I think most people don't realize that not much work from the so-called artist is involved...

The only selection that makes me "WTF?" sincerely is the #1.

That's just wrong.

It's been a while that the WT5 have not been solely the best of the week. People will do anything to get to fame and fortune, and same goes for the all-time T30. Envy, I agree with you on the subject of VG remixes, it's absurd. Once, I searched for a certain Secret of Mana song I like, and found a great remix. Now, there are dozens of remixes of the same song, and worse than the one I heard, which go into the all-time top30. It's ridiculous, it's a shame, it's life. And with life, I mean attention whores who go into the library and vote on their own song 50 times a day. So yeah, life's a bitch.

I'm rather disappointed in this week's top 5. F-777 gives a quality song as always, but for his standards, it is actually quite mediocre.

number one is a terrific example of the gfact taht most people listen to music on cheap pc speakers with zero bass.

it actually sounds pretty good on pc speakers.

i think people who mostly vote 5 vote if the song grabs their attention. number 1 does just that :)

In a review, I told him how to fix the cracking & clipping..

Response: "Maybe your speakers stink?"

But guys are we forgeting something? Why whas the audioportal invented? So that Flash animators also flash game developers would have free music to use in there games.

Plus the last top30 when i whas 3th the one at number one EliteFerrex did not rip from midi's he composed the remix from scracth. So please dont go accusing people of stuff. I also did some self composing in some parts of the song due to that fact that the "original" loops.

I think the video game remix section is a bit easier to submit stuff in. I mean you can essentially hit about 4.42 before people start throwing shit at your song. I'm pretty sure that reflects the taste of NGs populations with all the VG remix flashes and whatnot.

If you look in non-electronic genres you can't usually get above about 4.30.

On that note, F-777's song's pretty good and Chrono's remix of his previous song is spectaculoshish.

okay i just looked at the top 30 tracks ever and i noticed my track got in there. Is there a way to take it off of there because NONE of my tracks at all deserve to be up there.... mine in number 25 but honestly i find it bullshit that my song is even in the best top 30 tracks ever. It makes me mad to the point where i rather just remove the submission itself. Can a mod or someone who can take it down pm me?

You can edit/remove your own songs. Click 'my account' > 'My audio Submissions' > Remove.

Though I don't think you should take it off, if you haven't voted it into the top, the community has and then it deserves to be up there.

I agree. My cover of tantegal castle made the top 30. A video game song. I thought it sounded pretty cool, but definatly not top 30 worthy. I feel my original comp's are better, but they arn't in the VG section. In fact, I feel the only way someone can be successful in the AP is if they are strictly VG or techno. All the big names are only techno and VG remix's. /rant

I think that maybe the AP should have top XX in each genre, instead of a top 30 of all time.

actually what i meant to say is that i want to keep the song but get it out of the top 30 and i still think people dont like it that much looking at the reviews lol

They were ok. I mean can you really look at one piece of work and title an artist. I saw AloysiusRexford i saw his setup< read his blog listened to his tracks. They were all really meaningful and felt like he worked really hard on all of them.

from what i know, you can't tell how much work exactly anybody puts into a piece of work but you can get a general idea. from last week i generally heard very good instruments, catchy riffs, and solid mixdowns. that tells me they all put a good amount of work into the track and/or they've been making tracks for a while have already put in the effort over the course of a long period of time.............not picking on you specifically but i see a lot of people who view a certain genre and think that the tracks are just shit out like a track factory without really understanding what goes into making that track and the amount of stock instruments the artist has at his/her disposal that they've developed for themselves over time
