I'm astounded about the first one...

and not really in a good way.

After listening to each one, I can make a quick effective critique of each one:

1) Weird and badly sung. But in terms of hilarity, it was very effective.
2) Not the greatest chord progression, but it gets the job done.
3) The beginning and the end are both C-minor, but the song is G-minor. And the flow from one to the other is very unclear. All I can say is WTF?
4) Weird. But from what I can tell, the artist put a fuckload of effort into it.
5) The best one by far.

Is this thread dead? Mine was the only post last week, and it was already pretty low on the page before I chimed in.

Funny thing is that I was pretty close to grabbing weekly top 5 this week. I had a song that had managed an amazing 4.5 rating with 30 somethign votes. Then about 3 people voted it down to 4.07 and it's hung around there since then.

But I guess if one actually hopes to make Top 5, then they better submit a really good song on the wednesday before so that it can accumulate votes before the zerobombers hit it.

Or make a bunch of alts, either one will work XP

I just KNEW that one would get #1 as I saw it at 4.47 in the voice acting list last night :p

But like you see, for top5 it's clearly a bad idea, as it doesn't change the genre once you're on top5

Yes, and now it's jazz.

Neither genres fit the song, and wouldn'tchaknowit - neither of the selected genres are widely viewed during the week and thus less likely to get bombed.

Hmmm...dont be so fast to judge guys, I saw that song on the jazz genre like at 4.70 on monday and then I took another look a few mins on Tuesday before the top 5 started and I saw it there again around 4.36...I highly doubt he changed the genre a few secs before the weekly tops were chosen, maybe its just a simple error on the top 5s genre. Something that its indeed quite suspicios is having so many miscellaneus songs on the top.....I think you will agree with me that the 5# spot shouldnt be there... : /

Well you should never look at the Top5 as rank for best artist. Is more of a exposer for unknown or know artists here on Newground.

Shiiit guys. NemesisTheory's Snapdragon is too good.

The mix is is thin, but the melodies and brightness just make is so good.

Its one of the few tracks that I think really deserve to be on the Top 5.
