Racial tension.

Today at the bus stop a group of black people were walking past me so I stepped out of their way like I do with everyone but then I think they took it the wrong way and one of them looked at me and I looked back and i think he through I was racist or something but all I was doing was letting them pass : (

Does this happen to anyone else?

Also I always feel uncomftable around black people as I fear being seen as bad to them and I dont want them to take offense to anything, this in itself is pretty racist I guess but in a different way : (

They only make up around 1% of the population here thankfully, so I never have to put up with them. I would imagine them not being pleasant to be around though.

If they take a polite act such as that the wrong way, it's their problem. After all, they are people just as much as we are and they say they should be treated so... you treat them like you would to any white person, they should take it as any white person does. Don't worry about it...

I don't understand why people feel that way, you shouldn't be uncomfortable around someone just because of their race. It's usually people who haven't been around many blacks that do this, but if you do this and they pick up on it, they are probably going to take offense to it. If you treat them just like everyone else there shouldn't be a problem. Don't think of them as black, just think of them as people and you won't have a reason to feel uncomfortable.

I know but I never have bee naround them really that much, I always feel uncomftable with any different race or girls even some white boys as well I feel uncomftable a lot, but with black people it feels like I have to be nice to avoid them taking offense but if I do to much they wil ltake offense, it's so complicated and if I treat them like anyone else like I usually pay no attention to people I sensed they took offense to that as if I was ignoring them due to their skin though I am just like that by nature.

I don't see why, it's not like black people are a secret organization out to get white people. They're just people. Out of all the black people I have met and didn't like it's about the same ratio for white people I met and didn't like. Anyway, I just don't see a reason to be scared or nervous around them.

Not scared - nervous. They are loud, they don't speak English and I just plain don't like them.

That's a generalization for one. I have met laid-back black people that speak english more proper than me. Even if you're around black people that are loud and speaking slang, it's still not posing a threat to you, so no reason to worry about it.

Actually I did due to the past, even though I have nothing to do with it it's like we all have to pay for it or something and I feel like I have to be nice to them, they play the black card to much really : (
