I've never understood how one can become emotionally invested in either the boards themselves, or any particular debate within the boards. I mean, read the history. These boards were created solely so people could have something other to talk about besides dick jokes and flash (and of course the ever popular flash about dick jokes).
I mean the solution is deceptively simple: Ignore user, or turn off computer and do something productive.
But I mean Jesus, Cell, you make the mistake in assuming anyone but confused socially awkward teenagers interested in e-drama/garbage are gonna be interested in the supposed Holy Grail of insults you have hidden away, or that once unveiled people are even gonna give a rat's fuck.
And it's this type of behavior which is why a good chunk of people are completely CONTENT to seeing you go. You have the tendency to blow shit-all out of proportion, to the extent that you then just fan the flames you complain about.
Think about it this way: Without you all the fucktards starting Country-v-Country topics to spite you have no target. The forum will quieter and god hoping, becomemore intelligent because now we won't have all the incessant pissing matches.
And inevitably this whole things has fallen on deaf friggin ears, because (paraphrased) "you did whatever to me however long ago in whoever's thread on whatever topic. Therefore I'm {Insert any number of unappealing adjectives here} and can fuck right off.". But maybe some of this will get through and nag at your brain a little more. And maybe the thought that simply ignoring morons would have led to fewer topics you had to wage wars in might eat away at the thought you were part of the problem you hate so much.
I don't actually buy the whole "I hated doing it" thing. No one does anything repeatedly they don't really enjoy, not voluntarily anyways. I've been here long enough to know how you do things. You enjoy being the Go-to-guy for the defense of the USA. You absolutely enjoy kicking the snot out of kids who can't tell their dicks from their noses and thing WWII was won with sheer [insert random country here] bravado. You absolutely love pissing people off, because for every 5 people you throw into blind rages you find one like "fuckingfourpostlimit" to stomp on anyone you so desired. You absolutely enjoy being the Pariah of NG, you wouldn't self-profess it so friggin much if you didn't......
But again, deaf ears. And yeah, I might not know much, but I know this. Drawing stupid old issues like those any further makes both parties look like morons who haven't grown out of those angsty teenage years yet. I mean, the entire message of your post was bickering like morons misses the bigger picture and makes us look stoopid. Advice that lasted all of 5 minutes it seems.
The least you could do for yourself is exit these boards with some friggin dignity......
