I record my voices with Audacity on my headset mic. It's pretty clear except for a backround noise that ruins it. You know what I mean. How do I get rid of it?

Finding a quieter room to record in would be my only suggestion. Any distortion that isn't coming from the environment you're in is probably coming from the microphone you're using and I'd suggest buying a new one.

It is new, and it's a great mic. I bought it for $50.00. It's one of those DJ Microphone Headsets.
