I have never actually seen a starbucks in my life :(
I always hear about it on American sitcoms and people chat about it online but I've never seen one over here :( My friends insist they are everywhere and I really want to find one and see if they live upto the hype!

I've been in starbucks once, and the coffee is average, nothing special. we don't get discounts because we're fat so the prices are ridiculous too.

Hmm, doesn't look like there are any in Weston-super-mare, but there are a few in bristol, etc. They're more of a south-eastern thing maybe, because there's one in nearly every town in Surrey, and hundreds of thousands in London.

Starbucks is a treat when I'm able to get some. I think it tastes way better than Costa!
I like the java chip frappuccino when it's warm outside to cool and the white chocolate mocha to warm up when I'm cold.

Have coffee shops really been relivent to the rhetoric of American consumerism in like 10 years at least? I especially love those Mcdonalds commercials where the people don't have to pretend to have substance in order to get lattes anymore. If you feel like you have to play a character then you deserve to. In the end, it's coffee. People who are going to be consumer monkeys are going to find ways to do it with anything purchasable. If you like the coffee there, good. I had some mocha thing there once. it was pretty good.
I have nothing against people who can use pot and lead a productive life. It's these sanctimonius hippies that make me wish I was a riot cop in the 60's

Normally when I go into Starbucks I'll get a double espresso, or if I'm in a boring mood I'll just get a black filter coffee. It's nice just to chill out in there and read a book or newspaper or something whilst you have your coffee.

I don't buy coffee's their , mainly because I don't drink coffee , but I do love to buy the Jone's Soda in those glass bottles. Their cool!
