I had a dream that Robin was secretly Poison Ivy.
That makes sense. Poison Ivy was always trying to seduce Batman. Robin's gay.
It weirded me out haha, because I discovered Robin was actually Poison Ivy like three times in the dream! Ha, yeah I guess it was all just a plan to seduce Batman, hahaha.

I bet Batman can have sex with whoever he wants. Do you think Poison Ivy has a dick? That'd be cool.

I noticed a lot of people listed animal rights as a reason for being vegan.
Is it the abuse of animals in 'factory farms' and such, or are your reasons more... sentimental?

OH yeah, and I totally made those black bean burgers. I didn't use the exact spices that the recipe called for, and I just used normal flour instead of wheat gluten, and the second and subsequent times I didn't actually use any oil, just used the liquid from the beans to fry it in, but they came out great. They turned into nice patties and tasted like good and stuff, man.

Hello vegetarians. This is not a hate message since you are obviously kind people and however much I respect your opinion, I would have to say that this is not quite a wise decision. Meat is a very good source of protein and what not, and people are not going to stop eating meat as a general public. Chickens are the one of the most successful animals on the planet I say. The more humans eat them, the more there are.
With this in mind, if any of you want to save some sort of animal (opposed to just not liking meat :3) then just stop by at a burger king and order a panda-wich and eventually some commercial specialist will take note and we will start putting them in cages and eating them to. However this may seem cruel, and I would never eat a panda sandwich, it will get them off the endangered list in a jiffy!
I guess what I'm trying to say here is that although humans capture, mass breed, and eat animals, other animals capture and eat other animals as a part of nature, and our ancestors worked hard to get to the top of the food chain. Also, I am truly sorry if I have offended anybody, this is just my opinion.

Well, haven't been here in a while.
Though since I've last posted here, I have discovered that sweet potato fries are gods gift to vegetarians.
I also cooked up a recipe for... well I'm not sure what it is exactly, but it's Alfredo pasta tossed in a white wine sauce with roasted vegetables. Feel free to PM me if you want it.

I've yet to taste a sweet potato fry. I really need to get on that. Also, if you don't mind, I just may PM you for that recipe; it sounds good.

Also to break the ice, I've been vegan for going on five months. I love it! Reason? Not into eating/using/contributing to the exploitation of fellow sentient beings.

Anyone have tips on becoming a vegetarian when you really enjoy meat?

I don't love meat. I know I can live without it. But when people offer it or if it's available, I'll always have some. Habit, y'know?

I'm going to a wedding reception/banquet tonight and hoping to start my meat-free lifestyle too. Wish me luck.

Every time I see the words 'eating meat' I laugh because it's loosely related to oral sex, which is funny. So yeah, this thread has been a barrel of laughs, and I would join but.

Quick question, how do you personally treat animal non-meat products like cheese, eggs and honey?

Has any of you ever gone beyond vegan, into raw vegan kind of things?

Oh, I guess I didn't notice this club until now, can I join? I was a vegetarian ever since I was born, I'm told. I've never eaten any animal products either, save an egg.

Can I join? I've been vegetarian for 4 years now (actually, I'm pescatarian, I only really eat tuna. I don't like much seafood). I find there is actually a wide variety of vegetarian food available and it is so much nicer and easier to eat than meat. A lot of people I know are also vegetarian, which is awesome. I never used to like meat anyway, I didn't like the taste of most of it and I didn't like the idea of eating animals. I actually became a partial-vegetarian about 6 years ago, only eating pork and beef (I'm sure there was one more, I can't actually remember the names of meats now) as my parents didn't really want me to be vegetarian, then they gave me less and less meat and about 4 years ago stopped completely (with the exception of tuna occasionally).

Im a lacto vegetarian for about 1 and a half yrs. It hasnt been that long (especially compared to 16 yrs) but I feel much healtheir and rly enjoy not eating meat.

It has been quiet difficult living at home with a family who are big meat eaters & who love to bbq. I even have a family member that lives with us who is on an atkins diet.

Even with being around meat at meal times I never crave it, in fact I can barley stomach the thought of eating meat now. And deeply dislike the smell or look of meat.

Im planning to cut dairy off of my diet soon to become a vegan.

Oh cool. Never knew there was a club for this.

I guess you could call me a vegetarian. I don't eat meat or seafood of any sort. I do eat eggs, Jell-O, and dairy products however. I know that doesn't make me a vegan, but I'm still considered vegetarian, right? If not, I guess I could say I just don't eat meat like I normally do.

Vegetarian for 15+ years. Mostly vegan with some ova-lacto (select cheddar and mozzerella cheeses and very few eggs though; don't like em). Reasons mainly for animal rights and the environment. Also, for those daunted by bland veggie meals, all I can say is SPICE IT UP!:)... I'm also a cooking junky who's 6"4" and 240lbs. Peace.
