this is part to a piece for my collab. we are still accepting parts for anyone that can provide a quality well thought out piece by Oct. 1

http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/7187 87/1

is this against BBS rules?

Is what against the BBS rules? The collab? Advertising the collab? I wouldn't let you make an entire thread just to advertise your collab because then everyone else would want to do that and collabs take up a lot of BBS space by themselves. I'm cool with a post in the NGAST, because you have art that you are showcasing. But if you start bumping other threads just to advertise, I wont be so friendly.

I really think the falling pipes look great, by the way.

Broke out the oils a couple days ago. Messy and impossible to keep you and your surroundings clean while painting, but I think I like them more than acrylic now... for certain things I guess.

Newgrounds misses you.

What the Hell is wrong with you? Luis said you liked my shitty sketchbook entry. That thing should be thrown in an active volcano.

Also, those are some nice pieces you have going there. How do you keep inspired?

Thank you. I wont be getting the tablet soon :\ My dad has recently had a few heart attacks :s and we have had to pay a lot of money for stuff like nitro pills etc.

I think i have finally found my style.

Any suggestions for art schools? I was thinking the Art Institute of Portland, OR.

I'm looking at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, Rhode Island School of Design, Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL, and Savannah College of Art and Design. I might apply to others too but those are the ones that I am currently looking into. Can't wait for college, high school sux0rz.

Well for one, your sketchbook entry is a hell of a lot better looking than my sketchbook entry this year! Your stuff's always cool, don't let yourself believe otherwise. I'd ask you the same question from where you get your inspiration from... I see some of the stuff you do and it gives me my own ideas. I love the paper moon and the broken stucco walls you used! The minimalist face, the reflection... you take the same dark shit I always do and push it up a level by making it disturbingly innocent. That's style!

Inspiration comes and goes unfortunately... I'm actually pretty depressed about my skills at the moment. There's a painting that looks suspiciously like someone shoved a knife through it and moved it up and down to make the hole bigger sitting outside in the dumpster right now that's testament to that...

I'd like to type more, but the lag in this message box is irritating me...

Amazing. I love the detail on the city.

I'm finding my self to be a VERY inconsistent artists. I'll have my week of drawing but then i just loose the passion to draw. I get too many blocks. Will this effect me post college?

Lately ive been thinking...

What is art?

Is it a doodle thrown up on paper or the Mona Lisa?
Is it about how precise it is or is it about the emotions and imagination of the artist?
Or is art just a small word for opinion?

I came up with this a few days ago, I think it's an okay way to define art:

"Art is taking materials and purposefully changing their properties with the objective of giving it aesthetic value."

For using words like 'inked' and 'new-medias' the pictures were rather simple looking. I don't like the first too much, and the second looks like something a little kid would do, sorry :/ (probably since you used crayons, lol).
