I have! My ideas where a mouse-avoider-puzzle game (yeah, that's one thing) or a plataformer. Then I got back to reality and realized that I don't have the experience nor the skills to design the levels for any of them in 7 days.
So, the new idea was that I should cut the mouse avoider one and turn it into a mouse-avoider-puzzle-base-defense game (which believe it or not would be a LOT simpler) and leave the original idea for an hypothetical future sequel or something like that if you don't mind.
I'm testing right now how does the base defense mix with the rest right now and I have hopes for it. I planned on posting a demo tonight but I got short on time, I'll be posting it tomorrow morning if I can.

OK Awesome thanks for the update, glad your working on it, i dont think anyone else is doing a base defense so you should be fine there, and arent you good at level design, oh and if you did a mouse avoider id go crazy please no mouse avoiders!!!! make it interesting oh and a platformer would have been nice!!!

arg...flash kept doing really weird things, like replacing a symbol every time I tried to turned it into a tween.
well, here's a really short demo (It's just the tutorial and it's missing a piece). I'm not sure how evident the controllers are so I don't know if this tutorial is too much or too little.

Please tell me what you think and is the background too distracting/shiny? The idea is that every time you pass a level the squares in the background randomize their location and start spinning faster.
I'll post another update when I manage to make bullets to bounce straight back from where they came and the shield have actually round collision (for what I'll be needing a tutorial <.<). If everything goes right it should be really soon.

I've finally managed to calculate the angle and the distance between two symbols, I had been like an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't do it and it turned out I was trying to do:

My brain kinda short circuited there, what I want to do is to make the bullets NOT to bounce straight back. I already managed to make a round collision script work more or less so I should be able to make the bullets bounce differently depending on where and with what angle they hit the ball but it's going to take a while, so I will leave it for later and do it if I have enough time.

The idea is that (if time allows it) you'll get this collectible item that lets you use that for like half a second so it would be like shooting the ball plus it would do twice the damage.
I should have an update ready with the complete tutorial and one or two levels later today if everything goes fine.

well, you have:
on(press){} and on(release){}
If you put on(release){} in a symbol (you use it like you use onClipEvent(load) or onClipEvent(enterFrame)) whatever is in the brackets is going to happen only once when you drop the click so it might be an issue if for example you click on the target and the target disappears or moves from your mouse before you let the click go.
If you use on(press){} whatever is in the brackets is going to loop while you hold the mouse on the target so if you don't use something to avoid it looping it's going keep adding points until you let the click go.
With that out of the way, my advice would be the next script:
onClipEvent(load){
Clicked = 0
}
on(press){
if(Clicked == 0){
_root.Score += 5 // I've no idea where the Score value is stored in your game you just replace "_root.Score" with it.
Clicked = 1
}
}
