I want a tablet, but just for shits and giggles.

I could use a new tablet, i'm not sure if it counts because i used to make stuff with one but my current one doesnt work anymore :(. my most recent submissions have been music because i cant make flash. my parents won't get me a new one because this is the second one to break.

I already have Wacom Intuos 3 A4, but I never really use it. I feel more confortable with mouse appearantly so it's pretty much useless. At least my sister puts it in to good use when she draws, lol.

This year we are giving out the Bamboo Fun Medium. The BFM is roughly 6x8 and suitable for the majority of Flash and Photoshop users. We have previously given out the Intuos 3, but feedback we've received says the BFM addresses the needs of artists who aren't using the tablet for simulated painting. This change in price allows us to give away a lot more tablets in the future, as we will be giving them out regularly as prizes in art contests.

It's also time for our annual Holiday Flash contest! Check out the Christmas 2008 page for contest rules and prizes. Submissions can have a general holiday or winter theme, or be specifically about Christmas. Get CREATIVE and make something that will last throughout the ages, because this page will exist FOREVER.

How can people prove that they deserve a wacom based upon their flash work? Does this mean someone who can draw well with a mouse should be donated one?

Counting that I payed 250 euros for it plus the postal costs, it's in really good condition, all driver CDs are nicely held in the book shelf and are only used once, the tablet came with Arc Soft 5.5 program and the original package is in the other room...

I think you should pay more, lol. Although I will sell it to my sister once I move away.

yeah, I have not been able to view certain movies. they may load, but then they just freeze up.

hes gonna ruin his screen, our college uses them and if you your hand/wrist on the screen it will be ruined within a few years, and you dont want go go around buying a new one they arnt cheeap

Also given the fact that current tablet artists seem to break their tablets at an alarming rate, i imagine the same ones that won will be back next year wanting a replacement cintiq.

I think the most deserving people are those who have a good deal of work over the years on the portal (even if it wasnt award winning) and have struggled with the mouse/trackball/bamboo and are virgin to the professional tablet experience. In that aspect, its like opening a brand new world for these artists. It makes it more worthwhile and exciting than just renewing someone with the same tablet

I agree, I hope a lot of the winners are people who haven't used a tablet before, it would help them make even better stuff.

What about just giving the tablets to people who are more likely to continue to submit and participate in NewGrounds, regardless of their experiences.
