Well, we all now that when he played with his mouth he was really doing hammer-ons and pull-offs (if you dont know about guitar, he was playing only with one hand)
But still he was an awesome guitarist..

Eddie van halen - Godly guitarist, under-rated, didnt create the tapping technique, but pretty much owned it and made it his. People say he uses too much effects, but he mostly just uses echo and even if he did it's the sound that counts and just cause he uses effects doesnt mean he aint a good guitar player.

Yes and no. With all the effects I have on my computer alone, I can make a 4 year old sound good on a guitar. Guitar effects can sometimes mean the difference between a shit player and God.
