Depends what they are, I mostly take an interest with pokémon games (And probably because they`re the only games that most people on newgrounds seem to take an interest as well)

But other than that, we`re all entitled to different opinions.

What we need less of are shitty movie liscensed games, like Spiderman.

Not all are bad (StarWars Battlefront), but the majority of them are complete rubbish.

Some of the Naruto games are quite well recieved, and 'The World Ends With You' was freakin' class.

Because this is Newgrounds, where three-fourths or more of the population is obsessed with their own genitals.

But as to the thread at hand, other than Pokémon I haven't really played that many "anime" games. Now, I've heard that a good share of them are trash, what with the money for the project all going to the license and not into the game, but that's no different from movie tie-ins. And some of them are probably good, though again, my experience is limited to Pokémon.

what we need are games based off anime that are actually good (Pokemon doesn't count cause it's reverse, and if you think about it you would be playing it right now if the lyrics "I wanna be the very best-" were not burned into your mind), so far the best anime based games out there are dbz budokai (now a dead series thanks to money whoring) and Naruto: Rise of a Ninja (Okami without the brush mixed with 3 button Tekken), which is supposed to be a fighter-rpg who's best point turns out to be running around the place.

The Bleach games and earlier Dragon Ball Z games were pretty awesome. There was also a Deathnote game for DS, but I'm not sure how good it was. Japan only and whatnot.

I'm not really a fan of anime, I prefer truly Epic Games, Example: Halo 1 & 2 & 3, Assassin's Creed, Fable II, Sonic Series (I'm not sure if this is Anime or not...But the gameplay is awesome compared to Pokemon's Turn-Based fighting) ALL Call of Duty games (Really gets you into the Experience of WWII which I respect highly.) and games sort of like that...

I'd personally go for Pokemon over Sonic any day. Pokemon may not be that fresh anymore, but at least it's still fun and not rushed.

I agree with this 100%.

I personally don't care if it's anime or not, but I hate those games that are based off TV shows or movies kinda drive me nuts because most of its crap just trying to make a quick buck off their fans who are so much into it that they will buy anything off the show or movies and not even give a damn about how good the actual game is. Of course there have been some exceptions apparently, but I personally avoid them all.

P.S.: Just don't get a Wii or PS3, because they're Japan and the same place that makes anime.
