I lost my grandfather on November 4th. I'm making a tribute to him and I need some really powerful memorial music. Anybody up to the challenge? It needs to sound:
*Powerful
*Emotional
*"Era gone by" style
It can be a loop.

Sorry for your loss.
If you need insparation, i suggest that you take a look at HalcyonicFalconX's song "Journey" ( http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1 84930 ). I dont know if it is as powerful as you want it to be, but it's very beautiful.

First off, I must thank Krussi for his recommendation.
Powerful, emotional, and Era gone. I think I can write a piece for you and your grandfather. My sincerest condolences to you.

I decided to go ahead and make a short melodic line for a possible song for you.
Work in Progress 2
Maybe this will be what you are looking for.

It's good, but maybe change the honkidonk. Make it a concert piano.

I always thought this piece had a lot of emotion, and was very powerful (I'm sorry for low quality, I'm fixing the EQ right now =P)

I plan on making a final recording on a better piano. Namely this is a low quality recording on a untuned piano. Live recording that is. But yes, I agree it sounds kind of like a honkidonk. XD

I redid the EQ, because when I made it I was unaware of the mixer (I'm still new to FL, leave ma alone XD)
I hope you find what you're looking for, and I'm sorry to hear your lose. I remember how tough it was on me and my family when my grandfather died a year ago.

I just finished the song for your grandfather. Ode to a Bygone Era
