KKK Bankrupt?

According to this link, a man is trying to sue the KKK so much money, that they will have to file bankruptcy after some vicious attacks caused by sed victim.

Now for you history majors, the KKK have been around for almost 150 years, causing harm to every ethnic group besides heterosexual white people for decades. If this man wins the lawsuit, it could mean certain end to one of the largest hate groups of the known world. There would be still be hate groups, but none of them would be well organized and in such vast numbers.

I don't know about you, but to me this tells me that humanity is finally starting to become mature enough to stop looking at someone's ethnic backround, and start looking at their ideas.

The Klan goes on and off, The peaked after Reconstruction and right before Progressive era. That won't kill them it will just delay till they peak again. Last time they had 5 million members, and it only died down because the Grand Master Dragon(right title?) was involved in a scandal, raping women, which hurt them really badly. They will always be around.

Their organization is broken up much in the way churches are broken up.....it's one organization, but it has so many sub-groups it'll never completely die off. When the United Klans of America went under, it happened due to a court case not too different from this one, at the time, they were the largest and most powerful of the sub-groups. What happened? They certainly didn't die, in fact, they resorted to more violence to protest these actions, and broke off into highly militant groups, such as the ones in Texas. There are supposedly as many as 3,000 people there who train for a "rebellion" of some sort in the future.....idk. Also, there are so many groups out there not directly affiliated with the KKK that hold the EXACT SAME IDEALS, to the point in which the only difference between them is the robes, which have lost their fashion over the years. Basically, this is the same as saying that we could sue the international terrorist organizations into bankruptcy, which is quite impossible since they have, as do the KKK, religious and ethnic motivations, not merely monetary ones....

as EvilerBowser said, it's a whole load of Organizations. Also the KKK and racist people will never be stopped because A: Racist People will always be joining the KKK (how the hell do you sue the KKK? it's not your local neighborhood club across the street that hangs out at the rec on wednesdays) and B: The KKK isn't just an organization. It's a beleif, an ideal that these strange twisted people have. Also C: There will always be racist people because this stuff starts at home people. Racist parents will be bringing up racist kids for hundreds of years.

not entirely true......my dad's a republican, and I have friends who are with the Nazis.....and me? Im liberal, so go figure. Everyone makes their own choices, no one can completely make decisions for you, but with years of influence over someone, it's easy to see how one's logic could be swayed. The most important thing to remember in situations like this is not to be racist to a racist, that doesn't encourage free thinking and wastes your time trying to force ideas onto ppl who've been convinced otherwise for years
