Election question

Yeah, the title rhymes.

Anyway, I have a question about the usefulness of the American Electoral College. Obama won the majority of the popular vote, McCain conceded the race, but the Electoral College hasn't yet met to cast their votes.

But if all of the College members are faithless, then McCain would win the electoral college vote. But who would become President? McCain conceded, technically making Obama the only person running for President (making him the automatic winner), but still who would win?

Obama got the amount of electoral votes he needed. Even if they do meet, they can't change their mind because its based on the popular vote per state.
The electoral votes have already been distributed.
