Just in the case you can't read the text on your screen it reads,

"Get rid of these
Drop Shadow Effects
and color them just
like the big mountains"

And at the top edge of the picture is a frog I just drew based on the photo next to it. Notice how the front legs cover the rear legs. I think this is what Archon wants you to fix because right now it looks like your frog has four front legs coming from his shoulders. By the way, I chose a tree frog photo because your frog has red eyes and so do tree frogs. Is that the kind of frog you were going for?

Yeah, that was exactly what I was trying, thanks, but I still can't decide whether I should remove the frog or keep it. I asked Archon, he didn't respond yet. I think I'll remove it though, but I'll get rid of those shadow effects like you said.

Also mrty, here are some pictures if you are going to replace the frog: prehistoric mammals, I did mammals because you already had dinosaurs in the bg, so a small sort of mammal could replace the frog without you having to redo the whole scene. But its not that big a deal, I don't think anyone will notice, but if you decide to change it.

I actually can't decide but I think I'll remove the frog (and the fly), because this collab is about history so one of the most important issues include which animal lived in which time period. If I make any mistakes about that, there will be a huge plot hole, and like 4ur said, many people should know about the evolution history, so there is a huge chance they will notice.

However, when I posted the first screenshot 2 weeks ago (which included the frog), nobody warned me about the frog being there until yesterday, despite all those people checking this thread everyday. So, the chances are like 50:50 I guess.

Thanks for the link, I'll give it a look.

mrty, you are doing a lot better--I especially like the brown dirt you put under the grass. Good work. But you still have a shading problem. I will show you what I mean momentarily...

Thank you, what a relief to hear that. We'll solve that shading problem.

We are a great collab team, so there is NO obstacle we can't overcome if we work together.

What if there was a part showing World War I and II, with a duration of like 10 seconds each, it would be cool. It's too late for these kind of opinions I guess, but...

Well there is a part for Nuclear war, and one that has the Soviet Union in it.

But the Nuclear War part will be about the end of the world. I don't know, I still think Archon should think about it, grayscale World War I&II scenes sometime between Late 1900's and Modern Day, I think it's a good idea.

Damn, take a look at this page I found.

Quote from the Amphibians part: "Smaller amphibians, including frogs and salamanders, first appeared at the beginning of the Jurassic Period, around 213 million years ago."

Since dinosaurs were alive during Jurassic Period, this means I don't have to remove the frog.

Also, from the wiki page of frogs (in the evolution part):
"Until the discovery of the Early Permian Gerobatrachus hottoni, a stem-batrachian with many salamander-like characteristics, the earliest known proto-frog was Triadobatrachus massinoti, from the 250 million year old early Triassic of Madagascar."

Triassic period (late) was the first period that dinosaurs lived, according to my researches.

I'll just have to change the frog's eyes to black.

Calcium made a part about the Soviet Union/the war.

Nuclear war is taken, I'm pretty sure, by Test-Object.

Aside from the menu, there should also be a unique preloader. I think we can make that evolution animation as the preloader, it'd be great.

Another preloader idea would be showing Pangaia, and then lands cracking and seperating, but I think the first one's much better.

That'd be a great preloader! Please do something like that. I've already got a menu in the works.

Really good! I think you should fade in/out based on the song. That'd make it even better. (unless you were trying to do that, then the syncing is off.)

How do you like the new screenshot?

As I mentioned in my news post, some edits include:
- Red grasses are now orange.
- The sun is a bit brighter.
- The dinosaur in the back now blinks while walking, and I added him nails.
- The mountains and grasses look slightly different.
- The lilly pad is no longer perfectly circular.
- The frog's eyes are now black&white, like the eyes of the first frog ever found.

I won't be able to do any work tomorrow, I'll have to get up at 5 AM and go to my grandma's funeral, and I probably won't be back until 6 PM (we are going to another city). After that, I'll probably be too tired to work.

Almost finished. I've made the drawings but I think they look better as an outline because then they can be filled up. but we can still add the years. I also added a little message thing that says stuff like Please wait 'creating life' and message changes, I have around 5 made.

SpamtheWeb.com is down right now so I'll just post a picture of it:
Also not sure what to put for the bg, and the title.

Looks great, but what is "Loading the sky"?

Also, would you mind designing the stages just like in the picture I posted to you? Because, the stages are kinda weird, one has a monkey, the next one is just a bit bigger and one of his hands are up in the air. Therefore, I can't determine the years, I determine the years mostly according to which tool they have in their hands. For instance, if it's a knapped knife, it's Stone Age. Otherwise, it's hard to determine which year.

The idea is there, you just need to make it like the following: A monkey, a hairy human slightly standing, a human with a knife, a human with a spear, a human with a rake, a human with a drill, and finally, a human with a computer. Note that the amount of hair on their body decreases as they evolve.

Nevermind the thing I said about no loading bar, I liked this idea better than that fading thing. If you make the stages as I mentioned, you are all set. Oh and, can you make the right side of the loading bar a bit transparent? It'd look much better.

As for the background, I guess it should be white, or maybe gray. Let's leave the title to Archon68, he can make some good ones in Photoshop.

Here's what the time counter should look like. (Sorry, I wrote "game" instead of "movie" xD)
