Here's my pick for overlooked Gem! It was super overlooked because it's not even in the Halloween 2008 page!

Killing Time inBreak Room, by Kench Type: Movie Rating: Ages 17+

but it does mention the Halloween page in it's page!

It's got good art and animation. It may not be scary, but it's cool~ I mean it's a cool and funny too! LOL and dracula is totally gay! It employs music through out it's entirety that fits in well. The end is toally bloody. And there's eyeballs in the breakrooms water cooler! Where do they get there water from, crystal Eyeser? HAHAHA!

Halloweenie Hero, by tacobuttfish Type: Movie Rating: Ages 17+

Our cartoon took much time to complete and is the only of all the submissions we've seen that could be classified as a Halloween Epic! I must submit this cartoon to be looked at for I feel it is a true "gem" in the fact that a young boy can use the power of classic Halloween candy to transform into various candy themed heroes to save Halloween. The character design is superb and the animation is at the very least well done. The music picked for the scenes in uncanny and all from here on Newgrounds helping the community. The Fear Hole - Episode 7, by Scythemantis Type: Movie Rating: Ages 13+

It has already been suggested, but I would like to suggest it again. The Fear Hole is an underrated series in my opinion. It is very funny. It has great jokes and great timing. The characters are unique and lovable. Finally, the animation is good and the art is pleasing. That said, this episode has been largely overlooked. It has less than 3,000 views as I write this. Just watch it. You will not regret it.

Besides, Halloween is his birthday. He submitted a movie on his birthday and got so little recognition? That is not right.

In your defense, I want to say that you did not say anything about being upset at where you were placed in the judgement. All you said was that you were pissed. You never said why.

In other news! I have bad news to report: I just noticed that I was, in fact, NOT the first one to mention Killing time InBreak room for the "Winning Lost Gem" of this years Halloween flash off! I missed it because the first guy posted his link poorly and I skipped over it.

Since I now have no chance at winning the contest because I was a duche bag I am going to post a new submission that always seems to cheer me up when I'm down.

games are only harder to make in a sense, it takes a lot to make an original flash animation, over an flash game, however I do give props to all the "original" games out there, like I enjoyed The Bright of the Screen for example because it brought something decently new and innovative. Flash movies however are usually or at least should always be mostly completely original and show a lot more incorporating writing/cinematography than games could. (And it may be important to note that probably a lot of programmers out there would find it a lot easier and faster to make a game than to make a full blown flash animation, not to say there arent a lot of games out there that a lot of work goes into)

I completely agree. I'm sure there's a good answer. Probably something along the lines of there's always less games to pick from than animations.

Maybe they shouldn't seperate games from movies anymore and just vote on overall best submissions, seeing on how most games have cut scenes in the and the same great animation and art work and movies!

I have no doubt in my mind that the NG Staff like your work. However, there were plenty of negative reviews about Fucking Kids, ( "WHY IS THIS ON THE FRONT PAGE!!!" that kind of stuff), probably because your so good at going over lines nobody else does? I mean Hitler costumes and giant dicks and rape... These are touchy subjects.

Night on the Road

It has a perfect creepy atmosphere and the graphics/sound are very decent too. Sure scared the hell out of me. The music fits this animation perfectly and i totally consider it as a gem.
