At some point this nation really needs to break ties with its puritan roots and get over itself.

They did the same thing 8 years ago. Banned gay marriage. Then they did something undemocratic and overturned it against the people's will. That means Democrats and Republicans are fascists.

no matter where you are you cant marry your brother....thats just sick....
anyways, i personally have no problem with gays or gay marriage. i have a gay cousin, my girlfriend's parents are lesbians, and i have a few gay friends. its not right for the government to say it isn't right to marry someone of the same sex. it just seems unconstitutional.
I didn't really say everything I said.

Depends on your views and opinions. I'm not thrilled as I have friends who will have their marriages disolved.

When will people stop shoving their fucking noses in other people's fucking business about this shit? It's not like people HAVE to get gay marriages, it means they have an OPTION. Honestly, if you're not gay, that fucking proposition had almost nothing to do with you, and your petty discomfort with gay people now means that you've successfully infringed on the happiness of man, many people over their lives.
Congratulations America.

Don't they still have absentee ballots to count?
It could POSSIBLY, possibly overturn the yes votes.

We can't just dishonor the Founding Fathers! That would be like burning a flag, or spiting in the face of a veteran.

Eh, I'd say half and half. It's good because we don't see the annoying ones anyomore. Bad because you have to feel sorry for them.

They only count them if the absentee votes will make a difference. If the vote was 100 voting yes and 10 voted no and there was only ten absentee ballots they would not count them becasue even if all the ballots said no it would not make a difference.

I read your post, and I thought that was interesting. If gay marriage is legal, then where do we draw the line? Is animal sex okay then? I'm reather neutral on gay rights, but I'm wondering where that line is, and it has to be fine
America itself is rather paradoxial. It is the land of freedom, but where do you put a limitation on that? I'm not bashing America or Gays, at least not on purpose, but I just thought I'd throw that out.

8 years ago was when W Bush first came into office so it was the Republicans who were fascist, not the Democrats.

Good. I don't like homosexuality, even less the whole "gay marriage" thing. Call me old-fashioned, but I think marriage should be between a man and a woman, not a man and a man or a woman and a woman. I'm kinda weird like that, ya know? Heterosexual marriage and the families it forms are the basis of Western culture, and gay marriage would just mess up marriage, already a weakened institution, even more by taking away one of the few things that remains to it.
