Immunity in what way sir? I'm a bit confused. Could you elaborate more specifically as to what you're referring to?
If you mean from criticism, nothing. Any public figure can be criticized. It's part of our First Amendment Rights.
HOWEVER.
Obama is only President-Elect at the moment (a point he himself has made), he will be our next president, but not until January 20th. To say he will be the greatest president ever is just as preposterous as saying he'll be the worst. We simply DON'T KNOW yet. We can draw some conclusions based on his policies, what he's said, what he's done thus far, but until he's in office and doing the job, we can't really begin to render a fair and accurate verdict on him I think.

It really didn't matter whether Obama or McCain got elected. They're two sides of the same big government coin. Having said that, I still believe that the lesser of two evils has prevailed, since McCain's plans for America were both less fiscally and socially responsible. Besides that, this is an historic election that has the African American population finally saying with full-hearted honesty, "yes we can." That's something to be proud of. So as long as Obama's moderately socialist views don't inhibit our personal liberty TOO much, I guess Americans have made a wise choice.

I'd have to disagree with you there, Obama was the worst choice. With McCain not much would have gotten done but Obama has everyone and their mother following him as if he really gives two shits about them. Bankrupting the coal industry is no biggie, taxing one of the building blocks of life based on a false science that holds no weight what so ever is no biggie, and taking our guns is no biggie?
God forbid McCain would have won, he might have died two days after being inaugurated and we'd be stuck with Palin changing the national anthem to Dora the explorer's theme song.
Let's not forget how intellectually superior Obama supporters are.

The coal industry is outdated and the concept of "clean coal" is a marketing scam. Coal companies should not be bankrupted but the companies that run them should move to alternative energy instead.

There is a difference between gun control laws and taking guns people.

Tancrisis that was hilarious. Never seen that video before.
He wants to tax Co2 and his bases for that is because of global warming which is a pseudo science. We exhale Co2 and plants breathe it. The fact alone that he is going to put a tax in place thats going to bankrupt the coal industry is a biggie and not dramatic. Higher energy cost with a new tax that'll be implemented into almost everything including charging people for driving their own cars and laying off massive amounts of people not just in the coal industry but other companies that can't pay off this ridiculous tax cause of their Co2 output (hold your breathe to save a buck America) is horrible.
"My first priority will be to reinstate the assault weapons ban as soon as I take office. Within 90 days, we will go back after kitchen table dealers, and work to end the gun show and internet sales loopholes. In the first year, I intend to work with Congress on a national no carry law, 1 gun a month purchase limits, and bans on all semi-automatic guns."
--Barack Obama
This is a very slippery slope and it's obvious where it's heading to. He crushes the second amendment and gun industry by limiting the sales and type of firearms sold. Real Americans aren't down for this shit and if you don't have a gun or never owned a gun then go buy one and hit up your local range. Citizens owning guns is what keeps America safe and its why our forefather put it in the constitution.

Bro, we ALREADY have restrictions on types of guns people can buy (assault weapons bans anyone?) all he could quite possibly do is make them tougher, either by further limiting what types of firearms get sold, or strengthening gun education programs. I highly doubt anyone will be coming door to door to collect your guns, there would be a complete and utter revolt if tried. It's so expensive to hunt and fish anyway (least here in Jersey) that it makes me glad I have no interest in either one really.

You only help prove the point I'm getting across. Every inch we give on our liberties we never get back. So when they ask for one more bit, one more restriction we have to be more energetic and aggressive when we say no. At what point do you think the government is going to be happy with the bans they set? Only guns allowed for the people to own are water guns that shoot only room temperature filtered water? All silliness aside at what point do you think they'll stop? I'm not with it, get an AR-15 before the price gets more jacked up for em then they already are.

It's extremely big. Coal provides half of our electricity. Getting rid of it will cause increased costs and blackouts.

In DC vs Heller, DC had completely banned guns. Is it not possible to do this on a federal level?

Oh sure, it's possible. In fact it's possible even to wind up with a President one day who could ignore the constitution, put the right people into place, and lead a coup and become dictator of America.
That's the thing about possibility, possibility always exists. I think history, science, just about every facet of human existence will prove one thing to us all: NOTHING is truly IMpossible. So, if you can agree with my statement here that anything is POSSIBLE, we need to then look at what is PROBABLE.
Probable is different from possible. Probability suggests likelihood of something happening. In my estimation, I just don't think it's probable all guns will be banned. The government derives benefit from gun sales in two ways:
1. They get to tax said sales
2. They get to issue licensing which they make you pay direcly into them such as hunting licenses, or education courses to allow you to obtain the gun in the first place.
So the government is making some good dough off guns (Jersey SURE is making good dough off it's license sales, I am habitually amazed at how much they're charging even just a resident hunter when I issue them a license. Let's not even get started on the pain to the pocket of a non-resident).
It's possible all guns could be banned, but I don't see it being probable, or in the best interests of the government. If for no other reason then financially.

He is taxing compaines greenhouse gas emissions not the air you exhale.

Aninja if what I exhale will be taxed from a industrial standpoint then how long till the individual gets taxed on a yearly based emission? Global warming is a pseudo science doesn't matter how few scientist still believe it.
As far as guns go if you don't support our freedom to have and form well armed militia's then you don't care about what our forefathers did and you don't care about the struggles in history period. So go ahead and support ridiculous gun control laws but when you find yourself with a gun shoved in your face don't question why only the "bad guys" have guns.

Golbal warming is undisputeably true. The only debate is whether humans are accelerating/exacerbating it.
Until you've completed your bachelour of meterology, i don't think you're qualiied to dismiss it as pseudo science.

Its funny how most people who talk about freedom in relation to guns don't believe in freedom when it comes allowing abortion and drug use.

Okay what's with people blowing Obama's gun policy completely out of proportion. he doesn't want to ban weapons completely, just tighten regulation. I don't agree with his views on certain handgun ban opinions he has, but anything too drastic won't pass congress.

Sadistic you're wrong about global warming. There are studies that show that the solar system has gotten hotter due to the heat of the sun (sun spots). Oh not to mention that the world is now getting colder along with the rest of the solar system. Look it up buddy, be glad you have the internet.
A documentary I would recommend you watch that talks about Co2 levels being insignificant is The Great Global Warming Swindle.
It's a nice film but I would recommend you do some searching online instead of just using this as a reference.

I've watched that, and an accompanying analysis. Its completely unrreliable.
And besides, what if I mention an inconvineiant truth?
I like how a scientist says that global warming is real, and then someone finds a scientist saying its not real and then suddenly they act like they have won.
