New girl in my school.

Well, just got a new girl yesterday and today was her first proper day, so turns out she's in my maths class and to be honest she isn't that bad looking, ANYWAY, so we were in Maths, she comes in a little late after being in the office getting her time table, comes in and sits down.

Now at this point I can tell she's of alternative style, probably due to the fact that she had a set of striped gloves on and necklace.

So I obviously took notice to that, as did she I believe.

Considering I currently have my ears pierced and long hair, it isn't to hard to recogdnise.

Anyway to the point..

Throughout the whole maths lesson she was looking at me and obviously trying to get a good look at me, so I looked to see and she was, often...

So I did the same a bit to let her know I had been and to be honest I think she likes me.

In all honesty it sounds a bit petty and all and stupid high school crap but ya know, that's how it rolls.

So anyway my question is...

How can I talk to her/get into conversation?

wondering as she is new and it seems a little odd to just walk up to her and go

"Hi! My names Chazz and I...."

As corny as that sounds, it's the best way to engage in a conversation.

If you're the type that says;
"Heeeey.. Chaazzz meee, yooouu whooo?"
Then so be it. Say that with pride.

Don't try to appear cooler than you are, just pretend one of you're best friends had amnesia, and you didn't know.
You'd obviously approach him/her the same way, and when they start asking you questions such as, "Who are you?", you'd have confidence in being yourself as you know they've befriended you before their accident.

Just have confidence, and be yourself.

introducing yourself is the best way to start a conversation actually. just go up to her, introducing yurself, then just ask her like where she is from or something like that. If she is interested she'll pick up the conversation from there. if she isn't she'll tell you and just drop it. there is no way to find out unless you try.

Start off slow. Don't just full-on flirt right off the bat, but also show that you want to be more than friends.

Go up to her, introduce yourself, talk about something. Talk to her for the next few days, and notice her response in both body language and speaking. If she shows interest (body language usually tells you this), then start teasing her and flirting with her.

The thing is, you have to flirt as soon as you're sure she's interested. If not, your risk of being "just friends" grows each time you see her and don't show boyfriend-interest to her.
