Well, I've got very good karma and the people of Megaton shower me with gifts, such as noodles, Rad-X, and the occasional Stimpak. That's a reason for being the good guy.

And the only good reason too. You can't go into peoples houses and find some random nukes floating around, watch the fireworks when Megaton blows up, and do all those things that you don't have the balls to do in real life.

Well Kid looks like you got your thread you've allways wanted. Congrats. There's still alot of stuff to do in my game...But I don't feel like doing any. First non-addicted feeling since October.

There is a tunnel where the broke hull is... Broken, its outside and its under water, it'll lead you straight to him.

I'm at level 100 lockpicking. It sure makes shit so much easier when you're all "oh, fuck trawling round some super-mutant infest building, I'll just pick this door that is blatantly designed to be a shortcut back to the entrance for when you've completed the quest".

Also lvl 18. Whoop whoop whoop!

Personally, i think that gun is the best gun in the game... besides the MISSlauncher of course. Both can be found in the Brotherhood building. The side that is against saving local civilians and want to focus on saving the world, not the tiny picture the BIG picture.

The Miss launcher shoots a missle.. and lands at someones feet lol. It goes off 2 seconds later. There is also one you can make that shoots objects such as teddy bears.

That's how I play these kind of games; the first time through reflects my true character and each I try to make new character I create radically different. So once I finish being the knight in shining armor, I'll start a new game and be the bad-ass killing machine.

Like BBM, I play the first time through as a good character. I just finished it for a second time as a bad character.

yeah sure you can join. I am about to MAKE A LIST OF MEMBERS soon. I do that as well, by the way. I usually find that being a good charecter leaves better awards.. but then again, sometimes its much easier to steal things such as the plasma rifle. Instead of searching the map for it, I just went into Fort Independence and killed everyone in there. One level up, 1000 bottle caps, and about 5000 rounds of ammo and 3 very rare guns later... I was proud I lost one little thing of karma just to break in there. ;)

Go onto the world map on your Pip-boy, and highlight a location you have visited, and hit A.

You can't quick-travel when there are enemies nearby.

May I join the club, please? I have Fallout 3 for the Playstation 3, and have already beaten the game on my evil karma guy, so I'm starting over as a good karma chick. :)

I beat the game on Level 12. My Speech failed on Colonel Autumn -- and I could have gotten through the final quest without fighting him -- but he and his Enclave bodyguards weren't that tough at all, and I got his trench coat and guns in the process.

Before I complete the last quest, I'm going to complete all the side quests I can, discover as many locations I can and so on.
So far, I'm loving the storyline, the game play is really fantastic and at no point have I even gotten bored, its like Oblivion all over again, Bethesda oh how I love thee <3

So anyway, I'm not sure whether I should go ahead with the last missions yet. I hear that once you enter Vault 87 (my next objective) you can't return to the Capital Wastes. True? False? Plz advise.

I have the following quests left:

Picking up the Trail
Finding the Garden of Eden
The American Dream
Take it Back!
You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head

And I know the first four are the main storyline and the other one is a sidequest...

I haven't missed any unmissable bobbleheads, and so on, so I'm looking to make this a run to get all of the auxillary achievements. I just hope I get enough speech opportunities to get the achievement for persuading 50 people.

Also, I completed Tenpenny Tower the 'good' way, by getting everyone to agree to letting the ghouls in, but when I went back there the place was deserted and there was a feral ghoul in the metro access bit. Whut gives?

That's what I wish I had done. Unlike Oblivion, you can't continue on after you beat the main quest, which I found disappointing. Luckily, Bethesda is releasing an add-on called Broken Steel, which lets you continue on after the game, raises the level cap, and have new enemies and perks!

So far, I'm loving the storyline, the game play is really fantastic and at no point have I even gotten bored, its like Oblivion all over again, Bethesda oh how I love thee <3

I find the V.A.T.S. targeting system quite enjoyable. It just has that amazing Matrix feel to it.

And it's pretty much like Oblivion, only set 200+ years in the future and the whole area Washington D.C. is set in a post-apocalyptic, barren, radiation-filled wasteland.

I wish that Fallout 3 was as big as Oblivion map-wise, with it's massive, sprawling land of Cyrodiil, but it's still a very good game in its own way.

***ENDING SPOILER ALERT***

At 1/1/09 09:31 PM, BananaBreadMuffin wrote: So anyway, I'm not sure whether I should go ahead with the last missions yet. I hear that once you enter Vault 87 (my next objective) you can't return to the Capital Wastes. True? False? Plz advise.

Once you complete the game, you cant go back out and have to start the game over again. Sucks huh? Thats what my friend told me anyway... I havent beaten the game yet. And by the way, there are about 50 different side quests that dont give you any gamerscore points for completing them, but they are all really fun quests to play. They are much shorter, however.

I have the following quests left:

Picking up the Trail
Finding the Garden of Eden
The American Dream
Take it Back!
You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head

And I know the first four are the main storyline and the other one is a sidequest...

Just upgrade your speech points with all of the points you obtain after each level up if you want to persuade everyone. Save before persuading them in case it doesnt work. This way you will always be able to persuade them! Just load before if it fails, and try again. ;) Cheap I know lol.

As for the bobbleheads, god dammit I CANT FIND ANY. I can find everything else in the game but not any bobbleheads! ARGH. Ill just keep trying.

Also, I completed Tenpenny Tower the 'good' way, by getting everyone to agree to letting the ghouls in, but when I went back there the place was deserted and there was a feral ghoul in the metro access bit. Whut gives?

The most sucky ending for doing something the good way. The Ghoul leader guy actually kills everyone in Tenpenny Towers and leaves them in the basement. ig you go into Tenpenny towers and talk to the ghouls, they will tell you that they killed everyone in a sort of sublimminal way.

Well the rich bastards deserved it anyway.

Spoiler, but not very far into the game, and it's just a sidequest....

Did anyone else manage to get the reward from Zimmer and Harkness (spelling?) in the Replicated Man quest? I got that sick gun, 10% improvement in VATS, and I didn't have any karma gain or loss.

I missed out on the majority of that quest (some girl approached me with some component, i gave it to zimmer, quest over, achievement unlocked), and I'm a bit annoyed. I'd have loved a 10% improvement in VATS :(
