Some people are just cruel.

Yeah human nature. Everyone is cruel when you dont have shelter or food.

You know this...How?

From history books lol. How else would I know it? I am a junior in high school and we are learning about this sort of thing right now.

END OF SCHOOL. Make sure to do your homework on why the kids are such jackasses in Little Lamplight. >:| OR ILL FAIL YOUR ASS.

IF you guys are confused about the fallout universe, it's all explained pretty well in the first couple of pages of the manual.

I think I'm almost out of the getting lost in Rivet City phase. I know how to get to the market in a snap!

DONT DO IT. You get tons of caps but its is SO FUCKING ANNOYING how people bother you about it. The radio mentions it every time, your dad mentions it, GOD ITS ANNOYING. Plus, you cant complete a quest in Megaton where you get access to TONS of items including a custom rocket launcher, mines, and caps.

Agatha's violin station FTW.

I know, by the time I finished the game I was just wishing that three dawg (bow wow wow) would tell me about something else than me saving megaton and how he found out about oasis.

I havent found the oasis yet. By the way, I think I am on the last quest.. the one in Vault 87. If so, then I am going to go explore every other vault and some more areas. It really SUCKS though that level 20 is the maximum level... There isnt any point in killing enimies any more! Besides getting ammo of course..

It's not THE last quest, you still have a few to go, but finishing it inevitably triggers some things that make it look as though it WAS the last quest.

So, I've just started playing a complete opposite of my first character: Meelee/Big Guns sort of stuff, and a too frequent walk on the Evil side. And I've come to the conclusion that Meelee completely sucks every part of the human anatomy. It just isn't any fun running at someone with a lead pipe when he's sniping at your head. Really lame. And they didn't even bother to give meelee weapons a damage advantage, just some more crippling and the occasional critical strike more.

I disagree I used melee weapons a lot, run at them side stepping then attack them while circling them, easy.

Yes, but they're only good as side-weapons. There's no way you'd pull off a 100% melee character. Besides, in the middle of the Wasteland, side-step running doesn't really help a lot, as you've got nothing to hide behind.

Its a Pain in the neck trying to find places blocked by 2 Fucking Mirelurk Kings

Also the 50's idea has become a theme in many games (Bioshock to name one) but for one i like it.

Bring a gun with you. ;D

No, seriously, make sure you have enough ammo for whatever you're using, as there's quite a bit of enemies inside. Bring with you some Rad-Away, too. Don't carry a whole lot of weight-stuff with you, because you'll want all the inventory space you can get near the end of this quest *wink-wink*.

This Sucks, I've gotten to where you are going to take back the water purifier(Liberty Prime lol) and it just keeps freezing on me. The game literally just craps out. I think my copy of Fallout 3 is damaged, and since it is from Amazon.com, I don't think I can take it back :(

I did. You get a swank apartment in Tenpenny Tower, and around 500 caps, but that's it.

Not really worth it, but do it anyways. Pretty explosion...

Try washing the disc lightly with water and drying it with a soft towel. Then put it into the 360 and pray. If that doesn't work, it might be a 360 error. Try reattaching the hard drive after blowing on it. *the oldest trick in the book*

But they can't be completely gone, because that's the plot of one of the DLC installments.

IN CASE YOU'RE DUMB: SPOILER ALERT
Of course not. You just destroy one of their outposts (the only major one that was put in the game). I mean, in F2 you destroyed their whole main base of operations, and it didn't stop them. As they're a remnant of the US government, they're more present than would be desired.

At 1/8/09 07:55 AM, BritZombie wrote: Can someone tell me more about these DLC Installments?

There'll be three of them (Downloadable Contents), and they will allow you to continue planning with your character (even though people that have finished the game might be slightly puzzled), raise the level cap and add new items and perks.

They'll be:
Operation: Anchorage - a simulation of the greatest battle of the Great War in 2077, set in Alaska
The Pitt - some major stuff in the newly added city of The Pitt (remains of Pittsburgh), entry point to it is unknown
Broken Steel - the final moves of the Brotherhood to rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave for good.

Just remembered that I failed that Big Trouble in Big Town quest ages ago, and I need to get the karma level achievements and find all the Bobbleheads, so it looks like I'll need to start a new game to get all the achievements.

On my current and only file, I need like 7 more Nuka Cola Quantums to give to that woman and finish the damn quest.

SPOILERS AHEAD
If you really need more Quantums, there are a few locations that contain a few of them: The Super-duper mar pharmacy, Eulogy Jones' crib in Paradise Falls (under the stairwell), and a wrecked truck straight east of Old Olney, near a sort of rest-stop clearing. That should get you at least 8, if you haven't collected them already.

I appreciate the help, but I have all them :(

I seem to find them in random places like power control builidings near power stations D:

Yeah, they also randomly appear the first time you search any Nuka-Cola vending machine. That's actually your best bet, I'm afraid. But if you just keep on exploring the different locations on the map, you'll find more than enough. At first, I thought I'd never get enough, and then all of a sudden I had passed the quest and had 50 extra Quantums.
