I didn't really consider myself a newb when I first came here, but more of a newcomer to the forums. I had already spent three years on Nintendo's forums before I came here so I learned from that experience and carried it over here. I see it like this: You're a newb to this site if your first post is saying your new and let's be friends; as opposed to just coming here and start participating right off the bat and you fit in.

I am constanty having fun here and i dont believe the site really needs a major overhaul.. yes this account was created only a few months ago. But i have been coming here to play video games since 2001 or 2 i cant remember....i found out about this place when i was werking in the hoispital and that was around that time. When i started making electronic music .. i joined the site.

Personally i think the site just keep getting better and better... even the stupidity that goes on in the BBS still keeps me entertained... I even enjoy the bitching and complaining and the spammers and the nazi mods and everything that comes with this site... So newgrounds.. keep being a bunch of wierdos, freaks, assholes, talent, l33t, compasionists, creators, immatures, whiny little bitches and above all a community of sorts.

I think the '08ers have been fairly good. I may be a little bias in my opinion though.

Everyone used to be a "noob", but we usually grow out of out within an year of posting This may sound wierd for most of you, Newgrounds actually improved my spelling and grammar. I was forced to learn so i wouldn't look like another '07 fag. So yeah, cheers to another year with Newgrounds!

yeah im really nooby (and by nooby, I mean new to the site, not my naivity level), but I like to think of myself as being at a higher level of intelligence and maturity than the average new user. Though I do enjoy a bit of pessimism and pointless posting every now and again, I for the most part attempt to prove the stereotype of "noob" wrong by making decent posts that actually add to the conversation

look here, we have a person who is trying to be helpful and he's from 06 yet he has less posts than me. I get the feeling that the BBSs motto is "if you have nothing mean to say than say nothing at all."

If that were the case then it would be a much nicer place, believe me. In reality, most users employ the opposite of that motto as their posting guide.

Like I said in pox's thread earlier, it's down to individuals to change their ways and be good users... but for the most part I have little faith that it will actually happen.

Still, that's why I have a ban stick to knock them out with.

yeah, I've been pretty- no, very guilty of that, and I regret it. It's all been said, rarely articulately and even more seldom is it actually fun to read. That's what's so ironic about complaining about banality. I think that the turning on the place that either started, contributed, or was completely responsible for your internet maturation, is just one of the phases that follows the whole disenchanted stage.

I still am. I try not to be but sometimes it just slips out when I don't expect it.

All of my efforts have been ignored the past years, there's no point in trying to help anyone or the site anymore.

I'll just watch Flash movies, vote, lurk the community and repeat all while I keep my mouth shut.

I don't think Newgrounds staff really values their long term supporters, and peoples attitudes just suck in general.

Thats just how I feel now after this past month.

There are some great people here too, great artists musicians, everyone is unique and has a story to tell no matter who they are or what they do.

I've made some friends, not too many people despise me.

It's not all bad, but.

It's probably almost time to call it a day.

Still, if you can get past the attitudes of those who dwell in the eternal cesspool of the BBS's sewer system, I'm sure you can always find something here worth a laugh. I do say that, however, after only 3 and a half years on this site, compared to your ~9 years here. Things may look a lot different from your side of the fence.

We were ALL noobs once, some take longer to get out of it, but no matter what we all started somewhere when it came to use computers, all slow and unsure, and noobish. People need to remember this and prefer try to help the newer guys first, because you know, we were all there, help is nice.

newgrounds wise, in 05, I was immature. People who made retarded post's were on equal ground with me, so I was more accepting of some of the more stupid post's. But now, the stupid post's seem like something I should try to retribute, but the post's haven't changed since 05, my perception of the forums has. So I would think 05 is better than now because of how I used to view 05.
