I took one drag off of a ciggarette and didn't care for it. As long as you don't blow your smoke in my eyes or smoke right by my window we are good.
I always wanted to smoke cloves but, don't know where to buy them.
THIS IS A SIG!!!!
10 bucks for a decent pack of 25 cigarettes here in canada

I have had pretty much all my grandparents smoke and only 1 died of lung cancer, and it was believed to not be caused by smoking because the cancer didn't develop until about 40 years after they quit. So go and get your own non-cancer jeans.
Fuck you.
Well my grandpa has been smoking for 40 years and he now has emphysema... So, even if he doesnt die of lung cancer, he will die slowly suffocating and drowning from the blood that oozes from the cracks in his charred lungs. Sound better?

Parliaments 100's cost 5 dollars here, currency changed of course. Thankfully my smoking habit is under good control and my salary pays for that little treat. I'm just too busy to bother with obsessive smoking, so a couple smokes a day is enough, meaning I'll buy 2 packs every 2-3 weeks, no big deal.

So sad. I didn't look at it that way.
Fuck you.
£5 for a pack of twenty. Thats for something like Lambert, a nice all round smoke. You can pay a pound or so either way for something slightly worse/better.
gsk.
they're doin that so u can stop smoking cause smoking is VERY dangerous for you and people around you so be greatful that they are trying 2 help u stop
Nah, they enjoy the money.
I don't find cigarettes remotely addicting. I can restrain from smoking for two months and then smoke 2 packs a day for a week and stop using them again like nothing happened.
Damn I'm glad I don't live in a huge city like NYC or Chicago. I'm in Grand Rapids, MI and I pay between $5.50-$6.00 for a pack... depending on which store I buy them from.

In my country, the price of a pack of 20-sticks cigarettes costs $12/- for Dunhill and $10/- for Marlboro...gees...

99% of people started in their teens because they wanted to look cool, in my eyes people who smoke are people with self esteem and self confidence issues.
You pulled both of those facts out of your ass, didn't you?
It's a lifestyle choice. Admittedly not a very good one, but to each his own, am I right?
If the prices get much higher here (NYC), I think I'll take a trip down to Virginia and pick up a few cartons.
And I'm not even a smoker . . .
yes.

Taxes always go first on alcohol and tobacco.
$20.00 for a 20 pack down where I live. Very cheap considering a 20 pack $50.00 up in New York.
Irelands pretty bad. Because of the recession, the price for cigarettes never sops going up. it about 12 - 15 dollars for 20 cigarettes at the moment. It's vomit enducing.

actually the tax has been raised for the sake of money. Increased revenue. That is the only reason. Politicians touted putting the revenue on health care reforms to help get the tax passed. Otherwise, farmers, warehouse people, and tobacco workers would have pitched a fit. If you think government cares anything about you, you seriously need guidance. All government wants from you is to pay tax, not question them, and die when you get precisely too old to work so you are not a burden to them.
Im in IL and a pack of marlboros is 5.50-6.50 depending on where you get them.
but back at my parents house in IA, pack of marlboros is almost 7 bucks.
i need to quit, smoking a pack a day is expensive, not to mention killing me

No. The taxes that smokers pay just covers all the shit they need when they go to hospital for smoking-related illnesses. There isn't any money from these taxes left over for people who might need it for a reason that isn't their own fault.
