I'd say either Fable II, Fallout 3, or Far Cry 2. They all offer the longest amount of play time single player wise. It depends on how much you like playing online really. Since Far Cry 2 has online multiplayer while Fallout 3 is single only, and then Fable II features the online Co-op option if you have friends who have it.
You should totally add me on one of my various game accounts:

Doesn't matter. You'll probably end up selling that game you buy in less than a few months anyway.

I hold on to games.

Cross out Fable 2. It's fun, but not worth 60$. Way too short. Can't make an opinion on Fallout because I personally haven't played it.Do you mean Call of Duty:World at War or Call of Duty 5? Call of Duty World at War is exactly the same as COD4, but with World War II skins. I'm serious, exact same perks, same challenges, only a few differences at add-ons. It's more of an extension of COD4, and in my opinion COD4 is a bit more fun.
Can't comment on Far Cry or dead space, and if you liked Gears, go ahead and get Gears 2, but I personally didn't like it. If you haven't played Gears of War, I suggest you rent GOW first before you decide to buy GOW 2.

That's what I was thinking until I saw the gameplay videos. And now they are incorporating a zombie online game and online AI so it looks promising. Far Cry 2 looks monotonous sort of.
Just chillin' like always.
trust me fable 2 has no replay value at all.
i suggest gears 2 or CoD5
loads of fun that will last me years.
invest it so you don't end up selling all your possessions for crack

Dead Space and Fable 2 are both awesome games with tons of replay value.
I've never played Far Cry 2, but from what I heard it's pretty good.
I'm going to buy Fallout 3 since I'm a big fan of the series, though some people brand it as Oblivion with guns.
I'm putting of buying COD5 for now.
I would definitely buy Gears 2.
Also, ENDWAR. ENDWAR. ENDWAR.
