3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI'm doing a little research on popular programs that have since bit the dust. All I can think of is Netscape, Microsoft BOB, and the less popular Dido Pro. I need something more.
Does anything come to mind?
I cannot believe the gods are playing dice with the universe.

AOL has not bitten the dust (sadly) and Winamp is still very popular and updated frequently. I'm talking about programs that cease to continue to be developed. Netscape stopped development a while after AOL aquired it, and DIDA PRO is old school HTML programming that probably hasn't had a new release since Windows 95.
Sorry it was Dida Pro. It was actually last updated in January 2005. But even that screams "DEAD".
But I thought of another one: After the introduction of Windows Vista and computers using more than 2GB of ram, Freeram XP Pro is on the verge of biting the dust. It can only optimize computer with only less than 2GB of ram, plus Vista uses RAM alot differently in that version of Windows.
Chrome.
It had a good start, but barely any people use it any more.
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

I said barely any, I do have it too.
I'm really only good with mac history, but here goes.
AppleWorks/ClarisWorks, MacPaint, MacDraw, MacWrite, Audion (what could have become iTunes), Logic Fun, ClarisWorks for Kids, Moving Desktop, Damage Incorporated, OpenDoc, HyperCard, CyberDog (although that was pretty much the premise for Safari) ... That's all I can think of.
It's a shame Audion went down though, I liked that :\
