What features in games just pull you in? What do you hear about, and think: "Yes. That's what I like. That's what I want"

1. For me, it'd definitely have to be a level editor. That's why it hurts that I don't have Little Big Planet yet... (Examples: Little Big Planet, N+, Megaman: Powered Up)

2. Also, for me, it's really awesome if a game is promoting an original idea (the first Guitar Hero game, Mirror's Edge, Katamari Damacy, Kirby: Canvas Curse)

3. ...If the game has a cool style (The World Ends With You, Katamari Damacy, Okami, No More Heroes)

4. And lastly, this isn't TOO important for me, since I already have games that fill this requirement, but I really like it when I can get good at a game that allows me to "Show off", so to speak (Dance Dance Revolution, Drummania, Rock Band)

Of course, these are just things that add to the experience, and the real fun comes from the overall value of the game, right? Right.

Character Creators. Games that have that are the best.

Not like the Oblivion kind, but the ones like Fable, SC4, and R6V2

1. A great character customization.
2. An awesome physics engine and a gameplay that promotes it and that tries to use it for fights.

Try Mount and Blade yet? It doesn't have the second so much, but it has the best combat system ever.

I really should, I heard it was quite similar to what Darkfall will look like.

I love games that take place largely within one setting; places like Shadow Moses Island, Black Mesa, Rapture and Spencer Mansion (from Resident Evil) that are believable living, breathing locations with their own back story, mysteries and shit like that. An inherently interesting environment makes a game so much more engrossing and memorable.

Level editors, character creators, catchy music.
It's mainly track editors in racing games that catch me. I'm an F1 enthusiast so I either make some original, challenging circuits or just recreate the real life ones.

I personally can't resist:
shooters that incorporate RPG elements.
RPGs in general (as long as it isn't stupidly generic and boring)
Horror Games (Dead Space has horror, and RPG elements, so I pretty much orgasm every time I play it)
Non-linear games like Oblivion, Fallout 3, Stalker etc.

All I like is good replay value. I might as well rent the game if I'm never gonna play it again.

Character Creators/Editors
Basically customization.
Anything like Fable, the WWE games, Spore.
I just like to personalize my games and make them what I want them to be.

Giant worlds to explore, there's something I really like about being to run around a massive world without any boundries. Metroid Prime and Grand Theft Auto are perfect examples of games that have this.

Role-Playing-Games of almost any type. The only ones that really didn't appeal to me was Runescape and Urban Dead... I just didn't have the dedication for it. I remember I jumped out of my window in Urban Dead, as just about the first thing I did.
