This is one of a few pieces Ive been working on for my acrobatics team TEAM hybrid. It will most likely be used as web advertisement, or merchandising, Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Is there some significance to the red? 'cuz with the arrows it gives the impression of war/battle/blood. Are you Assassinatin' Acrobatic Basketball players? If so, I think you nailed it! :P

We use mini tramps to slam dunk basketballs at nba games and such. The red was just very bold and kinda confrontational, I was hoping it would be a real eye grabber.

and one more for now, this one is a little different, the other two were put together primarily in Illustrator, where as this was a random little photoshop piece I did for my bosses birthday. It ended up goin over pretty well with the team, what do you think?

the backgrounds of the first two are questionable but the silhouettes are great

You managed to do 3 things that I see in graphic design every day, well done.

Maybe try something different for a change, as cynical as this sounds I can't stress
how overused these elements are.

Think about the basics and try referencing a lot of related material so you can piece
together the look and feel you want, for example raenae thought it was some hectic
basketball group and the idea is some team hybrid acrobatics group?

I don't get that impression from any of the 3 images you posted.

Please deconstruct your work with fresh eyes and think about what aspects need
to be portrayed and execute them as well as you can.

I appreciate all the things said so far but I feel the activity represented should be better explained.

The team is a blend of basketball skills with trampolinist acrobatics. All the images originated from photographs at our shows. We use mini tramps to execute passing sequence through both ball handling and flipping with the end result of dunking the ball using similar skills.

If you would like a better explanation please look us or acrodunking in general up on any major video site such as youtube.

I like that there was this assumption that you randomly chose to include a guy with a basketball in your pictures with no relation to the group that you were trying to promote and no other justification whatsoever...(well, ReNaeNae actually did give you credit that the group might be somehow basketball related)

I don't find anything particularly confusing about any of the images, but then I assumed that the acrobatics must have actually been related to basketball in some way. I think if they're going to be used as web advertising, then you probably need to try and incorporate the name Team Hybrid into the design somehow, but that's just me.

My favorite would have to be the second one: I like the color scheme of that one a lot and I think the composition is a little more balanced than the first one. Also, in the first pic with the red background, because you're just working with black outlines, it's a little hard to tell what's going on spatially (I thought the guy had his back to the viewer and was going to do some weird thing where he threw the ball up through the bottom of the basket, and it took me a minute to realize that he was actually jumping UP to make a dunk).

The third image with the photographic base is my least favorite. It's not that I don't like the concept, it's just that it looks really obviously photoshopped (at least to me).

Anyway, I like the designs, but I don't have a background in graphic design, so, take that for what it's worth.
