Saints Row two was alot better than GTA IV, though if you change your person at the beggining of the game to a female, some of the dialogue consists of man talk.

I'm switching between Saints Row 2 and Far Cry 2.

I fucking love Saints Row 2 because it's simply a really fun game to play.

I'm not digging it as much as the first one, because not much has changed. I loved the first one because it had awesome aiming mechanics at the time, compared to GTA, and the ragdoll was pretty sweet too. But GTA fixed their aiming mechanics, and have a much better physics engine, so SR2 now feels dumbed down.

I just beat the game today, I had beaten all the gangs but didn't finish up the rest of the story until a few hours ago. It was still a cool game, and the side missions were all right (although most got boring after doing them 3 or 4 times) but the story was complete shit compared to the first one. The gangs had cooler characters I thought, but their stories surrounding all of the gangs were just weak. I didn't really connect with a single character.

Plus, the first game ended on a cliff hangar, and throughout the story this game never explains any of it. All the way up until the credits roll. Now, from what I've read, there are still more missions. I think once you beat the game and go back to the Saints church it begins the missions that explain what happened in the first game. But still, that's lame. It should have been tied into the main story, not something you don't get involved with until AFTER the credits roll.

I haven't played much online, but I liked online a lot for the first game, and still think Saints Row had better online than GTA IV. Doubt I'll play much though with so many other games to occupy my time this fall.

the co op on it is brilliant where as the online multiplayer is crappy because it always has unbalanced teams

My mate just got it on the PS3 about 2 weeks ago and he loves it, i have played it and the controls are simple and easy, and the game play/storyline is amazing.
The only downfall is the graphics, but hey overall its great and would advise anyone to get it if they are a fan of the genre :)

The only aspect i really consider it inferior to GTA in is that the city doesn´t look nearly as good.

I got the game a day after it came out and it was too adicting. I stayed up til like 5'o clock in the morning playing the game. It was worth the money, and I cannot wait for Saints Row 3!

I thought GTA 4 was a let down. Saints row two is amazing. I got Fable 2 Far cry 2 and saints row 2 all on the same day and I must say my favourite of the lot is SR2. I spent a whole 45 minutes customising my character 0o
