Its a nice night, stars are out, moon is concave, kinda chilly, but you are comfortable. As you are walking, a bright unusual light appears before you. You cant see clearly, but a figure is in the light. Before you speak, you hear a voice:

"Do not worry, I am not here to harm you"

Suddenly, you "feel" like the light speaks the truth, so you let it continue:

"I am everything, I am nothing, I am the provider and keeper of all, I am your friend...."

"Hear me out, as I only come every thousand years to ask 1 human being this question, dive deep into your thoughts as you attempt to comtemplate this."

"What is your purpose?"

Being an obscene question, you shake your head....

"Perhaps I was being too general, allow me to rephrase it, why do you believe you are here? yes, thats it, human, why do you believe you all exist? Please take your time....."

Well, what do you say to the supposively higher being? He/She/It probably wants a truthful answer, and since it only comes by every thousand years or so, perhaps you should think a little bit.

Anyone can answer this question very easily because its totally dependant on the person and there is no right or wrong answer, only ones true belief. I believe that I exist to experience. Experience fills my husk of flesh with life, without it, life would lose its meaning.

Have this metaphor. Let us say that there is a cave, where all people reside in where we are tied and made to sit down by a man, let us call this man Lies, with our backs to the entrance. This has been everything we are and everything we know. Above these people there is a platform with fire on it as well as some puppeteers with puppets. Throughout your entire life they put shadows on the wall using the fire. Because this is all you have known, you believe fully and wholly that these are real. But they arent.

Life. Its essence is whatever you want it to be: cruel, hard, simple, fun, exciting, monotonous, wholesome, etc.,etc. Life can have many meanings, each one varying with each and every person's opinions. I refuse to submit myself to any religion telling me to live a life stripped of its meaning. The giver of life, and its taker, both equally mysterious and entrancing: Should we worship the giver, and devote our lives to such a person/thing? Or should we fear our end, and try to avoid the inevitable? Most people came to this conclusion: Just live life to its fullest. The giver won't want everyone to worship, and waste away for him. The giver wants to share with us how great life can be. The taker, should he relish and be proud of how many people respect/fears his prescence? No, he as a being would not want to cut life short, experiences they have not yet achieved. A whole life isnt just a collection of empty experiences, our mind is equipped with the ability to enjoy and mourn, a reaction to everything that happens, these things, experiences, happen so we can grasp them, this lets us experience what "life" is. We exist to enjoy this experience, so therefore, we should just live, simple as that, serving a purpose, devoting our life to anything develops symbolic obsession, for life to be pure, to be fully appreciated, our experiences must all total up as balanced, for impurity comes from anything beyond balance in any way. We only get one chance at life, and we should all enjoy it, together.

I'll try and be as detailed as possible. I'm not much of a long poster before 10am.

I've always had my own theory of why we are here. I mean, it's a hard concept to think about. Philosopher's have tried for decades to think of a logical reason of how life came to be and how everything seems perfect. A human can not be created out of parts which are man-made. The same goes for an animal or a plant, we are perfectly crafted to work. However we got here, we were designed perfectly.

Life should be an experience. We don't know if we get another life after we die, we don't know if there's a heaven or a hell we go to that can depend on our actions during life and we don't know if we sink into a hole and decompose until the only thing left of us is our bones. It's taking that chance to believe what we think will happen after death and adjust our lives accordingly. We were obviously put on Earth as vulnerable as we are for a reason. We weren't immediately sent into this paradise by our creator where we can live long and well for the rest of our days. We were put into a world where we have to strive.

So that's what we have to do. We have to strive to attempt to survive and get the most out of life. Personally, as nice as an idea may be that we go to heaven after we die, it breaks my logic and I can't see it happening. I think we only get one life so we have to try and make the most of it.
