Then, she mad a bet with us that the correct way of saying salmon is -saL mon-, not -sa mon-, as you would normally say it. She bet us AU$50, and although we weren't expecting her to pay up now we just want to prove her wrong. So we went around asking pretty much everybody in the entire school how thay say it, and everyone we asked agreed with us, that you say it with a silent 'L'.
No need to reply. I just needed to vent my anger.

That's how I say it and I'm from Florida.
I'm pretty sure it's the actual pronunciation of it anyways.

Dude, it's called a joke. You insulted someone for making a simple mistake, and I insult you for doing the same.
If she's australian (offered AU $50, etc) then she might have an accent, meaning that she may say it with the L. You never know.
But without the accent, the L is silent.
It's pronounced Rag-el you fools!

Just because a lot of people pronounce it that way really doesn't prove anything. That's why things like this are called "common misconceptions/mispronunciations," because many people are incorrect and they don't know it. It is indeed "sal-mon," the popular pronunciation "sa-men" comes from the typical lazy tongue. It's no big deal, but I believe your friend was correct in refusing to pay the bet.

You have no idea what your talking about. You're just trying to make yourself seem smart by pretending you know something that the majority doesn't. The truth is, what your saying is bullshit. Its not a 'common mispronunciation', its called a 'silent letter'. We learnt about that in elementary school (or primary school), but I'm assuming you never went there.

Merriam-Webster says otherwise. (++Audio pronunciation)
Where in the hell did you get that it's supposed to be pronounced sal-mon and people just usually pronounce it incorrectly?
