Games becoming movies. Movies Become games. Do you think Video Games are getting more popular because they are in movies?

it kind of depends on if the actually make the game good. if they just throw it together real fast it usually isn't good. Most companies rush when a game is popular like Halo 2 and it turns out worse than expected. This is also true with a lot of movie games. They make them real fast when demand is high and they end up bad.

the video game industry owns the movie business.

The game translations of movies are only there to trick unwise parents into forking over the moolah on a game that they're kid might like. So it's there as an establishment to make a quick buck, by cashing in on the success of the game.
I feel that the reverse option will work in much the same way, movies trying to cash in on the success of a game- Hitman was quite subpar, though Peter Jackson is said to have been directing Bioshock's movie (if that is still under development), and he said he will stay true to the atmosphere of the game, by keeping in close contact with Bioware (now 2K Boston and 2K Australia) and try to make a good film out of it.

We shall see.
