Eminent decay of flash standards...

This is the same as my userpage post but figured more people would be interested. Anyways,

Fellow Newgrounders,

I dont mean to be an *&%$&)# about things, but is it just me or is the general quality of "saved" flash submissions going doing the drain? I mean what is really being blammed nowadays other than blank submissions and/or incoherent jargon that would make a baby look intelligent? although i have only recently gotten a newgrounds account, i still remember years back when good flashes were good flashes and the ones that would make it through blamming were worth it.
Now, take into consideration the advent of new programs which allow artists and hobby flash makers alike to improve their quality.....WHY then has the general level of flashes gone down the drain?...why is it many craptastic 1.2 scoring flashes havent been blammed? I'm just curious, not really angry, honestly. I'ts jsut interesting how now everyone seems to be ok with voting high on quality that would make Tom himself puke =/.....what do you guys think?

Also, I realize there may or may not be several threadz about this already. My apologies to those of you who are tired of reading about this sort of rant. its just that, there are thousands of pages upon pages of posts on NG...and yea.......im not ubiquitous with internet pages. =)

It pains me even more too see relative good flashes from beginners getting blammed while a flash featuring a penis and seizure screen gets through.

He did, sort of, a few days ago. Two of my movies (minigirls.biz and some fake SMBZ thing) got deleted, along with all of the fake SMBZs, all of the umd movies (I got the umd guy started on spamming, so that sort of sucked), and a few random movies, like Adam's old 1fps collab.

it's a vicious cycle

you have pessimistic/apathetic statwhores who say "this is crap but will probably pass, so I might as well vote 5 and get my save point."

in turn, people (particularly spammers) see the portal standards decline so they start submitting crappier movies, since they don't have to work as hard to get submissions past judgment

then the fact that those movies pass feeds the pessimism/apathy, standards decline, etc.

this has been going on for years.

In the past, I hear that tons more submissions got blammed! Now we're lucky if we get 20 blams in one day!! I WANT THE BLAMMING BACK!!

Wade plz delete the flash called "lod" submttted by BigFuckenAzz! It's flashes submitted by fucking spammers like them that give Newgrounds and the Portal a bad name!
