Lemme tell you about my high school.

I hated it. The staff were condescending, the students were abusive, and the processes by which education was handled was like Dilbert comics. I didn't belong there. How so? Well, I was a 4.0 for several years even though there were times when I didn't bother with the homework. (To keep with the Dilbert analogy, I rate a Catbert in this case.) This actually made college difficult, since their cirriculum was bad. I am mostly self-taught in terms of high school years. Fortunately, I'm also a degree-holder with my next one in sight.

So, education works in funny ways. My school was retarded in their applied learning but allowed plenty of internet use. It all depends on how you handle the cards you're dealt.

The fact of the matter is, most humor sites are higly opinionated and pretty vulgar once you get down to the core of it, and that the schools would rather you read something helpful instead of a whole bunch of bullshit that doesn't do anything.

Well, we don't have any blockes on our computers in vocational school, but we still have too little bit computers. And I am worried, because one of my teachers said yesterday, that under this year they take those computers away, because more and more studiens are coming on our vocational school and that's the reason of lunch room will expand.

Btw, computers are on lunch room space. That's the reason they take computers away.

The only reason they block search engines is for the porn factor....but right now microsoft is working on a public school computer face. This way you are literally blocked from all that, but the plus side is all notes and power points that your teacher uses will be attached or "cached" into your computer so you dont have to carry all those heavy books....will sure be helpful for all those weak armed people!!!

My school blocked things even worse. We even had to be given special access to a website for a school project once! The thing that sucked the most about the censorship was that oftentimes people would go into the computer lab during lunch, during break, or after school but nobody was able to do anything fun on them, so really there was nothing to do.

My schools computer system is hideously stupid, You need to enter a password every time you create a new website window or enter a different website, Copy and paste doesn't work either so you need to do it manually, Which makes it a complete pain.

So I don't use the computers at my school at all.

That's very nondescript. I'm guessing they just have a content blocker that will stop you from going to websites with "unapproved content". They're annoying, but there for a purpose.

So others can study. You have no idea how annoying it is when you're trying to do a paper and someone's streaming some shitty music from a band you hate. Or even a band you like that happens to be energetic, it can be really distracting.

This makes absolutely no sense. The start bar is a shortcut to a variety of applications and it saves you a bunch of time. I'm guessing your computer tech guy has no idea what he's doing, and just blocking everything rather than letting you guys run rampant.

I used to come on ng during highschool but that's because I didn't have any friends and most of the people there were smug spoilt assholes. When I went to collage that all changed because I made a tonne of friends and come to think about it... I only went in the library about 3 times the entire year...
