No, not really, the Xbox fanbase is full of fratboys that think Halo was the first FPS game ever.
What the fuck does this has to do with the subject at hand? Liking Halo doesn't have any relationship with ones liking of older games. Why the fuck do you people have to express your hate for Halo at every given opportunity even if it's not appropriate? I bet you barge into random peoples conversations during work/school when they mention Halo.
PCfriends or even Wiifriends would be more used to retro games.
Give me a break. Look at the market place! We have games like Galaga: Legions, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, Geometry Wars, Assault Heroes, Bomberman Live, Ikaruga, N+, Pacman Championship Edition, and Space Giraffe. With all those games retro-inspired games you're telling me that Xbox 360 owners don't have a soft spot for these kind of games? Also, lets not forget about all the direct ports.
There are people who have been PC gamers for quite awhile. However back in the early 90's most PC games were wonky platformers, D&D inspired RPGs, point and click adventure games, and primitive FPS's. So chances are older PC gamers will appreciate those types of games more. Beat 'em Ups, shmups and Run 'n Gun games (these are popular genres on XBLA) were more common on consoles. Those who had consoles and grew up with them will probably be nostalgic toward those games. If they develop a preference to console gaming, they'll stick to it. As for the Wii I could say the same thing as I did for the Xbox 360, except that it's generally based around Nintendo.
