Castle Crachers for Steam Oct. 18th, 2008 @ 12:11 PM Reply

Heya guys!
I've watched so many videos about Castle Crashers and it looks awesome.
I really wanna play this game but i don't have a 360 and i wouldnt buy it just for this game.
So wouldn't it be great if this game is available at Steam?
It would be a good possibility because of the archievment-system and the online-gaming you know.
Tom could talk about that with the guys from VALVe. I mean, VALVe sells so many games on Steam, why not Castle Crashers? I think many people would buy this game then, such like me.
I know, the guys from The Behemoth are really busy right now and it's very hard to put that 360-game into a PC-game. But i think it's a really nice idea. And if you think it's bad (I guess there will be some guys) just post it here so i can see what i were thinking wrong. :/

PS: Sry for mah bad English... :/

It'd be awesome, but the programming involved would probably take to much time and money

True.
But the guys from VALVe could help'em out with that.
I mean they know how to do that. They are the owners of Steam.
Or do i misunderstand (is that a word?) something here?

Gah is it really that important??? >.<
I write it like that cause it's a bit smaller and there are also many people in the Steam-Community who write it like this. And why do your write it "Valve" when every letter is a capital letter?
Just let me write "VALVe", ok? :<
lol we do we talk about that anyway? This thread is about Castle Crashers lol! xD

No, no, fucking no! You can take your dumbass dream and shove it up your fat ugly ass! How many more fucking threads de we have to go through. Castle Crashers is not coming out for the PC, PS3, Wii, PS2, Mac, N64, Genesis, NES, Atari 2600, or whatever the fuck you morons want.

Now, let's go through why a port will probably never happen:
-The Behemoth signed a exclusivity deal with Microsoft.
-Lots of people own a 360.
-The 360 has an appropriate fanbase for retro styled games. Chances are a long time console player will be more familiar with Beat 'em Up then your typical PC zealot.

Why not you fucking selfish faggot ?

Okay well can't argue with that.

-Lots of people own a 360.

Lots of people own every other console.

No, not really, the Xbox fanbase is full of fratboys that think Halo was the first FPS game ever. "sup brah let's go play sum halo brah" PCfriends or even Wiifriends would be more used to retro games.

And the Wii fanbase is full of man-babies who buy every Mario and Zelda spinoff and the PC fanbase are grumpy graphic-whores who rant about how consoles suck and PC's will rule the world.

I thought it was regularly spelled 'ValvE,' or 'VALVE' with the custom 'E' from an alt code?
Also, this wouldn't work out. Valve is working on more important games that fans would approve of more.

That's bullshit, and I know that for a fact. Oh, and for the record, I grew up on side scrollers on the Genesis, and I am a Xbox 360 owner. I still appreciate a fun side scrolling beat-em-up (Castle Crashers,) and I don't think that Halo is the best shooter ever, but, I do believe that it did some things right for the genre, one of which is being fun.

Yes, exactly, and PS3 owners are movie-maniacs that enjoy watching blu-ray movies all night long on their PS3

I said "FULL OF" that dosent mean everyone. I was only pointing out that the 360 owners arent more in retro gaming than anyone else, and I threw up a little bit of satirical humor into it, now sorry if it wasnt enogh obvious.

What the fuck does this has to do with the subject at hand? Liking Halo doesn't have any relationship with ones liking of older games. Why the fuck do you people have to express your hate for Halo at every given opportunity even if it's not appropriate? I bet you barge into random peoples conversations during work/school when they mention Halo.

PCfriends or even Wiifriends would be more used to retro games.

Give me a break. Look at the market place! We have games like Galaga: Legions, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, Geometry Wars, Assault Heroes, Bomberman Live, Ikaruga, N+, Pacman Championship Edition, and Space Giraffe. With all those games retro-inspired games you're telling me that Xbox 360 owners don't have a soft spot for these kind of games? Also, lets not forget about all the direct ports.

There are people who have been PC gamers for quite awhile. However back in the early 90's most PC games were wonky platformers, D&D inspired RPGs, point and click adventure games, and primitive FPS's. So chances are older PC gamers will appreciate those types of games more. Beat 'em Ups, shmups and Run 'n Gun games (these are popular genres on XBLA) were more common on consoles. Those who had consoles and grew up with them will probably be nostalgic toward those games. If they develop a preference to console gaming, they'll stick to it. As for the Wii I could say the same thing as I did for the Xbox 360, except that it's generally based around Nintendo.

It was only a joke about the main troll argument people use to troll PS3 users, wich is: PS3 has no gaems.
