Today was a horrible day. I stood up for a friend of mine and payed dearly for my actions....
My day started as any other day did. I woke up, my mind yearning to wander back into unconsiousness, took a got dressed, and went through all my morining routines. I attemptted to remain awake as I drove the long trip to my school as the golden sun rose above the horizon. As my car finally pulled into my school parking lot, I scraped up the remaining lucidity which I had, and went to my first class.
Time passed, and my routine continued, my mind already accustomed to the daily routine. It seemed that the day should go on by as any other day should until I reached my third class.
Upon reaching my third class, I was greeted not by a room slowly filling with my classmates, but a crowd in the center of the room all gazing at some spectacle in the center of them. I set down my bag and sauntered over to the crowd, my mind pondering what lay within the cluster. When I finally found my way in to the center, I saw one of my friends being pummeled being confronted by another student. I was confused at what was going on, but took no immediate action.
My friend was a smaller boy, usually not noticed by the population of my grade, and was considered one of the less popular students. However, I had known for a long time that he had a great sense of humor and was a brilliant student. The person who was confronting him was someone whom I had never met before. He stood a tall 5' 11'' and had short black hair and a deep mexican accent.
The Mexican was speaking to my friend in a mocking manner, and addressed him as an annoying little gringo. I didn't know what my friend had done to provoke him, but he wasn't doing a good job of calming him down. The argument escalated. The Mexican began yelling at him, and my friend pitifully tried to calm him. Without warning, the Mexican reaered his fist back and swung hard at my friend's face. My friend raised his hands to shield himself, but to no avail. He was struck squarely in the jaw and collapsed to the floor. The crowd reared back, and my eyes widened as my instinct took over. I lunged forward over my friend and faced the unprepared Mexican. My mind roared and I delivered a brutal front kick directly into the Mexican's forehead. His head shot back and he fell flat on his back. As I recovered, the realization of what I had just done struck me. I was dead. If he got up, I would certainly not be able to fight him off, and the still shocked class wouldnt do anything to help me. And if he didnt get up, when the teacher arrived I would be in severe trouble.
He began to come to he senses as my friend crawled off. He shook his head and silently glared at me. His eyes filled with an uncontrollable rage which transfered the message "I will kill you". My spine grew cold and my knees locked themselves. The situation was dire. Out of nowhere, the teacher walked into the room and bellowed, "Hello Class!" The crowd miraculously answered back as if nothing happened and slowly dispered into their respective seats. My mind was confused, and I looked back at the Mexican, who shot me one more glare before stomping over to him seat. I sulked back to my desk with my friend, and I stared into nothingness contempating my inminant demise.
The rest of the day passed at a grueling pace. i wouldn't have even been able to go to my classes if my subcontious did not take ahold of my and force me to follow my daily routine.
The long day finally came to a close, and I wanted to get off campus as fast as possible. I knew the Mexican would wait along the path to the parking lot, his mind was already made up that he would confront me. I knew I stood a very little chance against him in fisticuffs, so I took a longer way to the lot. I wandered around the back of the school.
As I rounded the last corner to the parking lot, the hair on the back of my neck stood on end and my eyes watered as I heard a *click* behind me. I knew that he was behind me and that he had a gun. I was shocked that he would go to such measures to get back at me. I turned around with a creeping pace to the sight of him holding a gleaming pistol directly to my forehead. My lip quivered and I barely contained myself as my mind flooded with thought of my immediate death. He shouted out several things in his native tounge which I could not understand, and his tone grew more angry as he spoke. I said nothing and was frozen in my spot. As the tension peaked and his voice grew to a scream, i suddenly heard my friend call out my name and come running. The Mexican jumped, and swung around to face him. In his suprised state he fired two gunshots, and my friend fell to the ground. The magnitude of the situation hit me and my terror was replaced with absolute rage.
I leaped onto the Mexican, and tore at his face, he fell over and thrased on the ground. I punched him in the nose and scratched at his face, in a ffrenzied state. As I reared back to deliver a huge hit to him, I heard a single gunshot. My Body went numb as I felt a bullet strike me directly into my stomach and exit out my back. I fell back, my mind blank, and struck the dirt harshly. My vision blurred and my problems began to fade. Out of the corner of my eye, I vaugely saw the Mexican sprinting off and tossing his pistol into a bush.
My life was all that mattered to me now, and my worries of my friend left me. I clutched my wound and felt the warm blood flow profusely from my stomach. I knew that no one would find my here. My adrenaline gave my enough pitiful strength to crawl toward the parking lot. My stomach left a trail of oozing blood behind me, and my mind simply put one hand infront of the other. My vision began to fail me, and the sight ahead of me as a blur of colors. After what seemed like years of crawling, The lot came into view. I dragged my dieing body forward. My body went cold as more and more blood left me. I finally felt the satifaction of touching the asphalt. I might live. There was only one more this I had to do. I whistled for a cab and when it came near. The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I can say this cab is rare But I thought 'Now forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel Air'. I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'. I looked at my kingdom I was finally there To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air
And thats what happened
Has anyone else had something like this happen to them?

That's when I scrolled all the way to the bottom. If this actually happened, you wouldn't have had to revise it or change it; you would have already had a straight story. Good job at failing.

This story in a nutshell:
Goes to School per usual.
Friend gets punched in face in class 3 by some mexican kid.
He sticks up for his friend and knocks mexican guy out.
When school ends he goes out the back entrance to avoid the mexican kid.
Mexican kid shoots him.
He crawls to the parking lot with a wounded stomach.

Too long a post but from the title i have to say Sticking up for a friend is one of the coolest things you can do. I know when friends stick up for me it feels really good.

I do believe that a 1000th post calls for a well writen essay on an untru--- semi-true subject followed by the great works of Will Smith
