Do what I did with mine; throw it away in disgust.

Best feeling ever, man.

I suggest using the intel stock cooler to cool your balls on a hot day.

I was planning on getting 5770 CF, but my friend says it's much better to invest in a 5850, and if I ever see the need I can get another one.

It does sound nice, but 5770 CF compared to 5850 CF is 1200 PLN compared to 2000. What yall think?

That case doesn't look as appealing as it does on newegg :/ You're lucky you built your rig when you did though, I haven't seen DDR2 this expensive since I got into computers.

And Taco, it's always best to go with the most powerful single card solution you can afford. Get a 5850 and flash the bios so you can get clocks similar to the 5870.

DDR 2 is going the same way DDR1 did, it will go up and up in price until there are very few manufactors left who actually make it.

DDR3 FTW

Missed this part...

Well, 4GB of DDR2 cost me £45 ($75). DDR3 cost would have only cost me a tenner more. At the time, everyone was raving about how cheap DDR2 was, so I didn't even bother to research DDR3. Ah well, I'm not really ruing it, it's not like I do anything particularly crazy on my PC. I'm still using a 775 socket, dagnabbit, that just shows how far behind I am.

If someone is actually buying it off you for $30 then you are getting a good deal. I wouldn't give you 50 cents for a second hand HDD.

I have Windows 7 Professional up and running. The student download was a pain in the arse, you basically download (via a specified download manager) two nondescript files which self extract and try to auto install. After some Googling, I eventually found a solution on how to create an ISO, so now I actually have an install disk. Which is a bonus, as that actually allows me to have a proper clean install and not some overwrite which leaves a windows.old file.

Here's my WEI, which is totally useless, but it's Windows 7 launch day and this topic should be buzzing with excitement.

I got a fucking 5.5. My RAM is faster than yours, yet it gave me 5.5 on the RAM because of 2GB.

One week prior today my mother bought a laptop with Vista on it and threw out the upgrade coupon because she thought it was an advertisement.

That's still up for grabs on TPB and/or other torrents, right? Cause I'll grab a copy of the RC for my custom once I build it, and then get the full version when my mom upgrades her computer.

Guys, I need some help. Steam just got deleted offa my comp, don't know how. I just reconnected to the internet, and it said something alog the lines of "steam.exe" already exists, and deleted the program off. Whenever I try to open steam, it tries to run an installation, and tells me to insert a disk I don't have. I still have all of the file folders and all of my games (they won't run, of course), and I don't want to lose them. I'm planning to take out my steamapps folder from my steam folder, and then delete the steam folder. Then I'll donload steam again, but before I sign in, I'll replace the new steamapps folder with the old one, and then sign in, hoping for the best.

Should I do it like this, or are there other files I should save?
