The save average is up from 10002 to 10360. The save percentage is up from the 20.xx% range to 21.27%. Yep, it's the new golden age of saveness.

reviews a day on about 3 different days and I'm approaching my 1,000th day as a Newgrounder...

He didn't miss the point. The reason he didn't ask about 10 reviews a day, and the reason why I believe you're the only person to mention reviews up to this

point in response to him... is that if he included them and asked which is the hardest, EVERYONE would have answered reviews, as they are obviously the

hardest to get 10 of per day. Even XwaynecoltX can make 10 posts per day more easily than 10 reviews per day.

So it would have made his question pointless and lame. That's why he narrowed it down to the others, exp, b/p, and posts. There are people who believe any of

those three is the toughest, relatively speaking. They all pale in comparison to reviews, that's all.

It doesn't really take a long time, you just put the extra HTML in your spreadsheet. But it would take up tons of extra room in the posting screen. And as I

just pointed out at the top of this post, I have no more room for LLL coding anymore, so adding profile links to it would make it instantly an almost-full

two post list... and soon to be a three post list, and that's getting to be insane.

Besides, every SINGLE person on the LLL is also on the pentalist. All someone has to do is open up the pentalist site and click on profiles from there.

time that can consume, between June and July I gained less then 1,000 total points... =(

The update you entered the list on was for approximately a four week period. All the updates used to be weekly, those people have no stars at all. Everyone

who's entered the list since I changed the updates to monthly in March has gotten either 3, 4, or 5 stars, depending on if the update was made after 3, 4, or

5 weeks after the previous update.

It's about the best of NG in a lot of different categories added together. Read further back in this topic, especially the first page or two, or read the full history on the list update page itself for more details.

Short story:

Started out as a list of people with 10,000 or more points in at least ONE major stat... was later changed to a list of people with 10,000 or more points in at least TWO separate major stats. If it was still the old way, there'd be 300+ people on the list instead of ~130 people, and it'd be nearly impossible to update monthly for someone like me with a full time job.

but I'm on it, so hooray me! And congrats to all the other new users who made this list.

Include you in the list movement section? I usually include all positive moves in the top 20 or top 25 every update, and then only mention the major moves outside of that. If I hadn't mentioned you much before, it's because you were only getting +1s or +2s up till you entered the top 25.

And now, of course, a +2 becomes far far far more impressive than a +2 was back in the top 50, so it merits a mention easily.

Gather 'round, folks, I have an announcement. There's a reason the update's late for once.

Two weeks ago, towards the end of October, I realised that both needing to pay November's rent and needing to update the pentalist on the first weekend or at least the second weekend of the month... were coming up soon.

And... not for the first time... I felt a bit of "urgghhgh... I don't have the energy for this" with regards to the latter.

That's nothing new, no. But it used to be, especially back when I was updating the list every week, that for every "bad update" the other three of the month would be far more enjoyable. The same was true every month, at first, when I changed to once a month updates in March. The only thing was that now a bad feeling due to an update, due to lack of free time, due to the delays I've caused to these "supposed to be on the first weekend of the month" updates.... now they lasted a lot longer, with there being 4-5 weeks between updates.

Anyway, long story short, the last two or three updates have been almost "weekends of dread." Starting with a REALLY delayed August update, perhaps, then continuing with September and October... and now with the start of November, yet another pang of "Do I have to?"

And of course the answer is no.

I've been busy and drained with my current job since I got it in June of 2005. But it's more than that now. My girlfriend's been shipped around from graveyard shift (11PM to 7AM) to evening shift (3PM to 11PM) at her job, and soon she's getting to go back from graveyard after 2+ months of horribly messed up sleep schedule... to evening shift (vastly preferred). That's been messing with our free time together. We want to see a movie, it usually takes two weeks to find the time for us both to go with our schedules and due to sometimes just one of us not feeling like it when we both CAN go, technically. Her new schedule means her weekends are Wednesday and Thursday, which sucks, but at least we'll be at work SOME of the same time (3PM to 6PMish) and asleep some of the time same time (4AM to 7AMish), instead of totally reversed like right now (she gets home and I leave for work 20 minutes later, and we hardly see each other, even on the weekends due to her sleeping all day).

Add to that the fact that Final Fantasy XII came out on October 31st, and I've been playing it every single day for two weeks now. It is a wonderful game. The BEST FF game since FFVII back in the early 90s... and possibly my fave of all time, topping a top list that goes something like this now:

12, 3, 1, 4, 6, 5, 9, the rest...

AND... at work, I may be starting to get more responsibility than I already have and going on business trips starting in February of next year, which is not very far away anymore.

What am I trying to say, folks? As most of you have deduced, probably at the very start of this post, when you read the bit of convo between me and AfroStud that I chose to quote... the end of the list is nigh.

With the reinvention of NG that is coming up soon, and with the end of 2006 coming soon as well... and with my free time at such a premium during work weeks, and even on regular weekends... a simple solution presented itself to me that day a couple weeks ago when I started to really question my reasons for continuing the list when I'm starting to enjoy the process of making it less and less (I always enjoy the result, of course... but it's an issue of balance)... a solution that seems to "fit" right now:

I will be updating the list during my four day Thanksgiving weekend.

I will be updating the list during either my four day Christmas weekend or my three day New Years weekend, depending on my holiday plans for the former.

And that is all.

I dunno what else to say about it. It's not really up to debate, either with you or myself, I've made a final decision. The only exception to this is that I may decide to make a nostalgic "one more time for the road" type update if I ever hit 10,000 posts. But I doubt that would be a full "trying to be perfectly accurate" update, anyway. It might be an update of the original 30 doublelist pentalisters from 2005 or something, or else a top 50 or something limited, in any event.

And I sure hope I do hit 10k posts some day, but let's face it, folks.... I'm only around here when I post updates. If the updates end... aside from my 10 exp a day... seeing much of gfox on NG kinda ends, too.

But we'll see. Maybe without the updates taking up all my time, I'll feel like posting around here MORE, not less. I hope so.

I spent a few hours catching up on the BBS mod and review mod forums this evening, and I'd like to play some FFXII tonight (my playing-it-every-day streak is still going strong, and probably will be all the way to Christmas, when I may go out of town and break it... I meant FFVI, not FFVII. My silly finger typed an extra I there. The reason I clarified in response to myself up there that I meant Japanese numbering for all FFs was in case you're a huge FF3us/6j fan.

If you do mean over FF3j, which is what I meant... then.. well, yes, it seems to be going that way. I'm only about 38 hours into the game, and I've been playing really slowly and enjoying leveling and getting extra license points for tons of skills and so forth, so really probably only around 10-15 hours of actual plot gametime so far....

but if the game continues as it is now, it is going to win the spot at the top of my fave FF list, yes.

And I love 3 and 1 for the NES/famicon.

I played 1 as recently as a few years ago on the PSX graphical-upgrade rerelease, so it's somewhat fresh in my mind. As for 3... I've only played it as the translated ROM back in the 90s, and I LOVED it... I did play it a little on the famicon back in Japan in 1991 while I lived there, but it wasn't translated (duh), so I didn't know what was going on in the little I played it at a bilingual friend's house.

FF3 is out for the Nintendo DS, though. I'm seriously considering buying a DS almost entirely because of that one game. Though getting Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime would be another good (but secondary) reason, also. #;-}>

Just to be clear I was talking about FF3 in the US (6 in Japan). In other words the one with the Espers and Shadow... That'll make it a bit easier.

FFXII has been released here already, its just I haven't gotten a chance to actually go out and buy it (hopefully I'll get it this week).

As for Yao, of course he's tearing it up. He's been doing that since last season (before the foot injury) and it looks like he's finally living up to all the hype he recieved when he first came to the States. I'm surprised Houston is winning despite the fact that T-mac is having an off night.

Two weeks ago, towards the end of October, I realised that both needing to pay November's rent and needing to update the pentalist on the first weekend or at least the second weekend of the month... were coming up soon.

The suspense IS KILLING ME

And... not for the first time... I felt a bit of "urgghhgh... I don't have the energy for this" with regards to the latter.

That's nothing new, no. But it used to be, especially back when I was updating the list every week, that for every "bad update" the other three of the month would be far more enjoyable. The same was true every month, at first, when I changed to once a month updates in March. The only thing was that now a bad feeling due to an update, due to lack of free time, due to the delays I've caused to these "supposed to be on the first weekend of the month" updates.... now they lasted a lot longer, with there being 4-5 weeks between updates.

Even now it's hard greg? EVEN WITH THE BREAKING OF MY HEART

Anyway, long story short, the last two or three updates have been almost "weekends of dread." Starting with a REALLY delayed August update, perhaps, then continuing with September and October... and now with the start of November, yet another pang of "Do I have to?"

But what about the fans, you're practically bigger than Jesus.

And of course the answer is no.

I've been busy and drained with my current job since I got it in June of 2005.

But it's more than that now. My girlfriend's been shipped around from graveyard shift (11PM to 7AM) to evening shift (3PM to 11PM) at her job, and soon she's getting to go back from graveyard after 2+ months of horribly messed up sleep schedule... to evening shift (vastly preferred).

After working a graveyard shift ANYWHERE, i'd work as Chucky in a Chuck E' Cheese.

That's been messing with our free time together.

Her new schedule means her weekends are Wednesday and Thursday, which sucks, but at least we'll be at work SOME of the same time (3PM to 6PMish) and asleep some of the time same time (4AM to 7AMish), instead of totally reversed like right now (she gets home and I leave for work 20 minutes later, and we hardly see each other, even on the weekends due to her sleeping all day).

That's well ... good to hear, i know it's not preferable for a couple that's TO BE WED ... in time, but i wouldn't be able to imagine to not be able to have much of ANY free time with the one i love.

Add to that the fact that Final Fantasy XII came out on October 31st, and I've been playing it every single day for two weeks now. It is a wonderful game. The BEST FF game since FFVII back in the early 90s... and possibly my fave of all time, topping a top list that goes something like this now:
12, 3, 1, 4, 6, 5, 9, the rest...

Bizzare, you proclaimed 7's goodness, and then don't list it :P

AND... at work, I may be starting to get more responsibility than I already have and going on business trips starting in February of next year, which is not very far away anymore.

Is that a negative thing too?

What am I trying to say, folks? As most of you have deduced, probably at the very start of this post, when you read the bit of convo between me and AfroStud that I chose to quote... the end of the list is nigh.

With the reinvention of NG that is coming up soon, and with the end of 2006 coming soon as well... and with my free time at such a premium during work weeks, and even on regular weekends... a simple solution presented itself to me that day a couple weeks ago when I started to really question my reasons for continuing the list when I'm starting to enjoy the process of making it less and less (I always enjoy the result, of course... but it's an issue of balance)... a solution that seems to "fit" right now:
I will be updating the list during my four day Thanksgiving weekend.
I will be updating the list during either my four day Christmas weekend or my three day New Years weekend, depending on my holiday plans for the former.

Here it comes Michael.

And I sure hope I do hit 10k posts some day, but let's face it, folks.... I'm only around here when I post updates. If the updates end... aside from my 10 exp a day... seeing much of gfox on NG kinda ends, too.

I can't say I'm surprised, you made it pretty obvious that this list is getting harder and harder and you can't keep it up forever. Many times I would see you post your updates at 1, 2, 3 even 4am in the morning and you would have to go to work the next day. We're lucky to have you. =)
